Hilton Armstrong

we all want a defensive Center. could he already be on the roster? I would like to see him get some extended minutes the last few games to see what we got in Armstrong. I believe he could be a Tyson Chandler type player.

Take a look at his long neck. He may be listed at 6'11" but his shoulders are no higher than a 6'8" man's. We'd be better off using Marvelous at Center and, no, I don't think that'd work, either.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

His wingspan and reach are slightly larger than Marv's. That is, of course, if Marv didn't grow much since the combine. Either way he does have comparable length to Tyson Chandler (again, if he didn't grow much) which was the OP's aim.

He's only 6'10.25, but with a 7'4 reach. Tyson Chandler is an inch taller and 20 pounds heavier with a 7'3 wingspan.
I like Hilton as a backup power forward, he can get his shot off easier than 6'9 Josh Powell.
Hawks still need a starting center.

he appears bigger than Marvin, not sure by how much, but he plays much bigger than Marvin does. he is pretty athlectic for a big and it seems he has a decent mid range jumper. I know he can block shots not sure how he is from a rebounding stand point. All I know is that he was a lottery pick and this is only his five year in the league. and I know it takes some time for most bigs to develop in this league. Hell it took Kendrick Perkins five years to get it going.

Now, I know he will never be kendrick Perkins in the since that Perks is a brut, but he could be in the mold of Tyson Chandler I feel. Lets see if we can develop this kid. I can tell he has more talent than any other Big we have had in here not named Josh or Horford. more than Gugliotta, Drobnjak, Kevin Willis when he was here in the 2000's, Batista, Medvenenko, the landlord, Solo, Twin, Etan, and who ever else we have thrown out there the last six or seven years.

He may only ever be a back up, but ever team needs a solid back up Center. who knows he may be the starter we need, lets see what this kid has, give him the chance the Landlord got. I bet he is better than him.
