Weak knees+his age= disaster. He can't be a starting center anymore. He will get a large contract because of the support he brings to the team, but he isn't a 30 mpg center anymore.

He will not be a large contract because he knows of his limitations and also he understands that e already earned enough money.
But he is willing to sign with the Rockets for a small amount and prepared to play whatever amoun of minutes he is given by Adelman.
A different thing is that Adelman does not want such a slow player for his style of play.
Then we could offer him something interested in terms of a good city, a good environment with Chinese people and possibilities of playing 22/24 minutes a game while having good and young players around.

This is my thinking. He doesn't have to play 30+ minutes. If he gives 20-25 minutes and allow Horford a breather instead of getting getting beat up and being tired against bigger centers, then that's damn good in my eye. Josh doesn't have to be on the floor for shot blocking, which allows Horford to play more desired 4 (Though I think it doesn't matter).

Hawks could feed a pitch of Asians living in Atlanta, and also Atlanta being a city similar to Beijing, with all its industries and population. In return, ASG gets more of the Asian community to come out to games for tickets, size in the frontcourt, and a former star. Maybe we can sign Yi as well and get numbers similar to his play at the WBC.

i'm okay with going after Yao, Oden, or Bynum.

im okay with Yao, but i would much rather the Hawks focus on Oden or Bynum.

Yao is okay, but he was never a #1, even when he was healthy, and he should have never gotten #1 money, even if he didn't have injury problems.

Yao could still be an okay #2 or #3 in the right system. i would love to see him go to the Spurs with Duncan. Yao would fit great into the Spurs half court style of play.

Just give the Spurs the title while you are at it, if you think Yao can be a 2nd or 3rd option..lol. Yeah I like Yao for a cheap price, and Oden is my main target some how. Oden will dominate when healthy and Yao can be a useful first big off the bench. Kosta Koufos is a guy to target as a sleeper.
