I blame Horford
Horford is not looking like an All Star center. i was expecting him to be averaging 25/10/.600FG against smaller, weaker, and slower competition. their is a reason why Horford was selected as an All Star over both Noah and Boozer, but he is not showing it.
their is a conspiracy theory that Horford is hurt, but i don't buy it. Hawks can easily put away the Bulls if Horford just mans up. Horford was suppose to be the Hawks only legit real All Star player for the Hawks, but other have said that Horford is overrated and really a product of Joe and Josh's talents. Horford has only had one 20pt game in this series, but that was the game when both Joe and Josh had a combined 13 assist total.
Horford is just as bad as Josh with his outside jump shot, but atleast Josh is smart enough to take the ball to the hole when he is struggling. Horford needs to do what Josh is doing and stop taking those bad outside jump shots and man up and take it into the paint. it is getting frustrating watching Horford, because he has no heart and act likes he doesn't give a damn about winning in the playoffs.

I fall into this category, but I still can't blame Al for this loss. The refs are the one's to blame for this one. Terrible calls all night and they only went one way. For now, just leave the blame game alone(at least until the trade Josh threads come up).

^ i do blame Horford for how these series has gone, and essentially all the losses. if he just put up 20/10 in every game, the Hawks would have put away the Bulls by now
and i don't think 20/10 is too much to ask from your All Star center.

Re: I blame Horford
Well, I do agree that he is, like you say, supposedly our All-Star center, and is actually getting a lot minutes at PF(Natural Position from what I hear), so he should be showing signs of domination, yet he doesn't. So I guess you do have a point there as far his overall playoff production goes. Last night was not his fault though. Just let it ride for now.

Agendas, agendas, you hear 'em every day...
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

^ what agenda? i tell people that Horford is the 2nd best center in the NBA for 2 years now, (3rd best if you count Pau Gasol as a center, which i don't, because Bynum is the Lakers' center). i was telling people how Horford was going to dominate the Bulls interior players in this series and eat them alive, but so far, Horford has just been making me (and himself) look bad.
besides Marvin, Horford is the only guy on the Hawks who is consistently under performing.
i remember watching Horford in the beginning of the season were he was hustling, pushing people around in the paint, knocking down jump shots, dominating the glass, and damn near doing what ever he wanted to do in the paint.... but now, he just looks inept and weak
i don't know why he choose to pick this time of the year, the playoffs for gods sakes, to quit on the team and play scared.
i mean, Joe and Josh are inconsistent, but sht, at least the give you a good game from time to time, but Horford and Marvin are not doing anything and are either playing like scrubs or playing like they don't care.

You thinking Al would be avg 20+ pts on the Bulls is Funny! If Al gets 20pts is a big night for him he is a 14-16 pt scorer at best in the playoff until he gets more post moves.
The blame should be on Drew for game 5. He put an Ice cold Jamal in the 4th and he did what Jamal does best get scored on and play no D. Why didn't Zaza see playing time? Atl was going good with the big line up until he wanted to go small all 4qrt. And I want to make this clear the Hawks got screwed by the Refs Jeff Tague got tackle and no foul, same with Josh Smith.
Rose got every call in the 4qrt. And the hawks gave up 4 and 1 in the 4Qrt.
Drew if it ain't broken don't fix it leave the Big lineup at all time and Give Jamal less time every time he is in we get the lead cut or we get down even more.

Re: I blame Horford
^ right now i would kill if Horford could give 16/10/.550FG, AT LEAST!
but right now he is just throwing up 11/10/.490FG, and has a PER of 14...... those are Pachulia numbers.
"If Al gets 20pts is a big night for him" IN THE REGULAR SEASON ...... yeah i agree, it is a big night for him because it is in the REGULAR SEASON when he is going up against 7 FOOTERS who are bigger, but he is not going up against anybody bigger, it is just NOAH and BOOZER, both guys that he is BIGGER THAN AND WEIGHT MORE THAN. Horford should be getting pushed around and beaten up buy guys who are 20lbs lighter than he is!

Boozer outweighs him and Noah isn't a bad defender at all and has height on him. So you want Al to avg 20 pts in the playoff where the defense is a lot tougher and is playing the NBA best defense? Is not going to happen. Al made shots last night while Jamal didn't and gave up points all night long if anybody is to blame it's him!

"Boozer outweighs him".... so, i guess the other teams four just has to flat out suck for Al to be successful? nope, al did **** against ryan anderson and brandon bass too...
What always gets me is its normally the "Bulls/Cavs/Magic/C's have a good defense that why al sucks in the post season"---- See a similar theme? most teams in the playoffs are going to have good defenses... You still have to perform and Al cant do that.
seems like there are always excuses on top of excuses for Al after a dissapointing post season every single season. Except this year Al is playing the 4 a ton and not guarding the biggest player on the court most of the time he is in. Even Josh Smith guarded dwight before Al. Even Zaza protects the rim better because he doesnt have to worry about foul trouble and actually challenges shots. Al is a chair.
When defenses lock down in the regular season and the easy lay ups are taken away, Al is left with a 15 foot jump shot, good rebounding, and sub par D. The bulls attacked Al off the dribble bad yesterday when Josh got put on the bench for early fouls.

Re: I blame Horford
lmao at they Attack Al bad. They attack the whole team bad. Was Al in charge of guarding Rose? He was there to help out, but you can't do anything when the Refs call a foul everytime Rose drives for the most part.
Teague,J.J and mainly Jamal!!!!! Need to play better D to prevent our bigs from getting BS fouls.
You simply want AL to man up how? Playing in the post? He doesn't have a post game because he was hardly ever at the 4 before this season. You can't just be like hey AL is big he should post up more. Josh Smith has post moves, but has no jump shot. Al has a jump Shot but has no post moves. They need to train each other this off-season and then we can have two All-Star Fowards.
And you keep saying he's been getting a lot of time at the PF. Game one and 2 he was at Center most of the game also game 3. 4 and 5 he was at PF and did decent. Good game 4 and he did decent last night too 12 pts and 10 rebs that fine with me.
I will agree that he is to good to not be trying to take it in but Drew doesn't call pick and rolls he calls pick and pop all the time.

Also like I said when Jamal Crawford comes in we get down fast. I'm not going to look up stats but it true he only showed up in game 1. Every since he been getting whoop and I making us get down more.

Zaza should of stayed in the game for the 4th and Jamal should of been benched.I agree Horford has been playing like crap,I thought he would be doing much better. Also when Joe gets double teamed the other players need to make quick movements so he can get them the ball.Jamal defense has really been annoying I really wish Kirk was healthy.
Hard in the paint like Josh Smith, do not slip, I bang mine I'm zone one bankhead shawty, I'm west side no gang signs

... and this big reason was only that he played all games, while both Noah and Boozer played only half of the games because of injuries.
Horford was ahead of them, but the difference was ridiculous, enough ridiculous to say that there was no reason except not enough games played for Noah and Boozer.
Now, I don't understand why he not a higher level during this series.
Regarding the refs, it's not the thing everybody will see, but it starts to be a problem. Sometimes, when Rose got "and 1", it reminds me Shaq against SAC and POR, where the nearest guy was at least at 5 feet and Shaq was always getting "and 1".
It's not at this level, but it's already at a level of injustice.

could al of played any lazier in an elimination game? Guy has no heart at all. I dont know why Joe and Josh get any flack in the playoffs with Al on the team.
"oh, my team is down 10 points in the second quarter. time for me to not even pay attention inbounding the ball or trying at all"

He wasn't playing very well, no. I wish he played better, he's supposed to be our franchise big man. He's playing like a wimp. He can't buy a bucket, he's so nervous and robotic with his actions and he's turning the ball over a hell of a lot too.

Horford was suppose to be this playoff stud with his NCAA championships, but he always ends up disappointing everybody in the playoffs. no heart, not character, just lazy and doesn't care. his number always goes down and this year he has no excuse, because he was playing PF the whole time in the playoffs.
