I was thinking of doing a 3 way trade between us the Sixers and the Clippers so I'd like some feedback.
ATL in- Chris Kamen and LAC future 1st (top 5 protected)
ATL out- Josh Smith and 2 future seconds
PHI in- Josh Smith and ATL future second
PHI out- Andre Iguodala
LAC in- Andre Iguodala and ATL future second
LAC out- Chris Kamen and future first (top 5 protected)

If Chris "Kamen" were so good would you need to include a 1st round pick?
Marvin Williams, Chris Kaman, and Al Horford...

Allow me to be honest Chris Kaman for Josh Smith is one of the most outrageous trades I have seen blog people consistently through around. Josh is younger and more consistent. Plays better defense and puts more people in the seats. Only thing Kaman would have for him in that trade is an expiring contract. If we are that strapped for cash the team needs to be sold or moved. You don't trade someone who is arguably your most important player for Chris Kaman's expiring.

"Lenny [Wilkens] and I are disappointed Danny is not coming back. But we were prepared for it. We made the trade with the understanding he wouldn't be back."
Somehow, it was never made clear last season that the Hawks were just renting Manning. Hope they got their deposit back.

I know, thats why I included the first might, be a 2012 lotto pick, even if its top 5 protected I still doubt the clippers end up with a top 5 pick next year because they wont be one of the top 5 worst teams

I get what you are saying but the Hawks needs are starting C, SF, and bench depth.
So, why would the Hawks resign Chris Kaman if they are so cashed scrapped that they need to trade Josh Smith? Also, even if we could get Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones, or some other big time SF in next years draft that person alone would not make up for Josh Smith anytime soon. I would not mind trading Josh but I have never seen how Kaman made sense. He would probably be asking for starting Center money 8-12 million, that's not significantly cheaper than Josh.

Nice deal for the Hawks...getting Horford to the PF spot would be a huge upgrade (matchup wise) for this club. Nice deal for LAC...Iguodala fits that roster perfectly. Philly would have some hesitency...Josh Smith really doesn't fit on/upgrade this roster.

In what sense?? That Horford doesn't play center, or that Horford at PF is a better fit?

Horford at PF is a better fit than what? Marvin Williams starting and redundancy with Joe?
an injured Chris Kaman?
Surely not better than, Josh Smith at SF, scoring PF, shotblocking center. Because that's what LAC would have.
Horford played Center, his usage fell in the playoffs 3 straight years. Then he plays PF and it happens again.
Horford got paid $12 million to play center because that's his biggest advantage. Too bad he cant defend the position or score from either position.
Horford is not a PF and you need evidence to prove his 2 Free Throws a game, lack of post moves for FOUR postseasons, 7 points and 4 boards in elimination is a better fit for a team wanting to contend.
