Yep, you guessed it, he ranks Larry Drew very high....blames his limitations on some 'knuckleheads' on the roster.....I wonder who he could be talking about? Drew is responsible for putting a knucklehead at the 3 and forcing the fans to gasp at every opportunity.

Definitely not Drew, who lets Teague mold into his own personal puppet. Drew is probably still distraught over losing Bibby and JC2, his better choices over Teague at the time.

I have a total disrespect for Larry Drew going forward, and hope his days here can be counted on one hand. He is over his head.

Has this guy been watching the same games that I saw last year? Of course he has to make a splash with a couple of no-names to create interest, but it sure devalues his 'expertise'. I see nothing here that tells me he knows more than the average fan.

Where would Charlie have placed Kuester and Smart if they were still coaching? Probably near the top as well. Blame the players....that's the easiest copout.

B- is not very high, by any means.

Drew made some bad choices. He also did some good. For the two weeks we actually ran the motion offense, we were smoking offensively. Why we chose to go away from it, I don't know - I think that the first Boston loss really killed the confidence.

B- is about what I'd say Drew deserves.

He took the same group and erased two historical markers.....beat Orlando which had just massacred us the year before and won the first second round game by the Hawks in 14 years, 2 in 17 years.

I'd say he deserved a B, it's the perfect good but not great grade.

Stan Van Gundy (Orlando): Talks too much, lacks charisma, and fails to make adequate adjustments. Otherwise he’s A-OK. Grade: C minus.

Larry Drew- B: thinks Josh Smith should space the floor

"When they started double-teaming Joe we tried to space the floor. This was one of those games where we could have used Kirk, could have used Josh Smith. Because one thing those guys can do is space the floor. We turned down some shots out of the double team which we can’t do. If they double team and you get an open look you’ve got to take the shot. We had some guys that were a little bit reluctant."

First let me say that one of the knuckleheads would be Joe Johnson who didn't embrace the new offense, so much for clearing that out. Jamal Crawford would be another, but then again the coach made the decision to play him at PG thus negating a motion offense. Josh clearly is another for shot selection and positioning on offense, but in his defense the guys who should have been shooting 3s weren't making a damn thing while he reinforced his bad habits. Again the coach wasn't strong enough or crafty enough to influence Josh's play. So those were 3 key people he didn't reach and then you add on the decision not to play Teague. The B- seems likely a generous grade. I think a C might be more accurate for the season as a whole. It's a players league and the coach's job is often one of selecting the right players, putting in a position to succeed, and helping them reach their potential or the team reach its potential in spite of themselves. Drew didn't do these things.
