Nash Trade

I want to get your opinions on some trades I saw on the Suns board.
Trade 1: Nash for Hinrich and a 2012 first
Trade 2: Nash Childress and Lopez for Hinrich 2012 first and Marvin
Trade 3: Nash Childress Pietrus and Lopez for Hinrich Marvin and 2012 first (Top 15 protected)
I Personally don't like any of these scenarios, Nash is a one year rental and although we could have a title run this year we'd be going down hill from next year on if Nash retires or doesn't resign, especially if we absort an even worse contract than Marvin's and if we give up our 2012 first rounder. So: Thoughts?

None of these trades are realistic because we can't trade our 2012 1st round pick. We traded last years 1st and you can't go without a 1st round pick 2 years in a row. I would do any of those trades for our 2013 first though. Trade 2 would be my favorite.

Substituting the 2013 pick, I would say the following:
#1) No way Phoenix does this. Nash is expiring already and a box office draw. Giving him up for a future first and filler doesn't offset the fan backlash.
#2) Maybe intriguing to Phoenix because it sheds Childress, who might be amnesty candidate because of contract regret, but they get Marvin whose contract is almost as bad.
#3) Huh? Nash, Pietrus, and Lopez are expiring. So this is #2 with then tossing in an extra player.

Nash is hard to gauge his value. He's a fan draw, but old and expiring. Unless overpaid he's unlikely to sign an extension at trade time so he's a risk to be a rental. With the quality of the upcoming drafts you should NOT want to give up a pick for a rental.

Lopez is also hard to gauge because he's expiring. You'd want to keep him to see what his ceiling really is, but might face enough competition in free agency that you have to overspend to do it.

Trading them Childress was are only front office success last year. Taking him back in trade would be a big gift to the Suns. I'd bet more on Williams catching fire in Phoenix than Childress returning to form by coming back to the Hawks.

Fixed - the missing not that changed my point.

i was thinking about something like this:

ATL gets: Billups

NYK gets: Nash

PHX gets: Kirk, Knicks' pick, Hawks' pick

That's wrong.

The rule says that you can't trade two consecutive future picks. We were not able to trade this 2012 pick before the 2011 pick was used, because both would have been consecutive future picks,
but we can trade our 2012 pick now, even if 2011 was traded.
