Cheap/Minimum Level Dirty Work Big Men Candidates

Post#1 » by Superiorblogman » Tue Dec 6, 2011 6:23 am

Moving on to the dirty work guys, every playoff team needs a couple that bring it consistently. You know how the Bulls pushed us in the back for rebounds consistently because Taj, Kurt Thomas, and even Noah were more willing to mix it up consistently. I know a lot of you are enamored with Zaza and remember that side show he put on with Garnett and how he ran up on J Rich only to get pushed in his face. Listen people, Zaza is fake tough, just my strong opinion. We need more toughness inside. These are the candidates and of course it will be on the cheap.

Chris Wilcox
Craig Smith
Kurt Thomas
Melvin Ely

Honestly, I don't think Reggie Evans is going to fall into the minimum pool, even though I feel like he could because of recent injuries. Carl Landry is another person I thought about but really don't see him being a minimum type guy and Chuck Hayes is the same, seriously think he will get more than minimum.

It is quite obvious that this is one of the most shallow pools of minimum level candidates. I would be fine with any of the above 4 other than Melvin Ely.

What do you think? I am sure most of us would rather have Reggie Evans, Landry, or Chuck Hayes but look at how shallow this pool is and it is not hard to see all 3 of those guys will get better than minimum contracts.
