Player Predictions: Pape Sy (Update Cut)

What do you expect from Pape? What is a acceptable contribution from Pape?
First off, I do not understand the Pape Sy project at all. I don't understand how it came about. How a guy just comes in works out only for you and you fall in love with him and give him a 3 year deal, even though not guaranteed as a developmental player. I just feel there were so many bigger projects out there that could have fit a more pressing need and don't see the tools that he wowed them with in that workout. Also, I am still not understanding Larry Drew being stuck on Sy being a PG. I can remember during pre-season last year when Jordan was looking like he could be a rotation player sooner than later. Drew was asked about Jordan whom he had playing some PG. Drew kept dismissing playing Jordan at PG some as a way to give him minutes but he is stuck on Pape whom I have seen nothing from as a PG.
All that said, Pape does have speed even though I am not sure he has the coordination to change directions. I have seen him get the ball and push fast but he seems to have problems changing directions with the ball. Like a running back that can only run over people, but can't avoid anyone. I think Pape will start the season as the 4th guard behind Teague, Joe,and T-Mac and will have some games where he plays 8-12 minutes a game early in the season. Really don't expect much in production from him though, just think he will be given every chance to succeed.
