What do you expect from Teague? What is a acceptable contribution from the Teaguer?

Teague had a really good series, not great because we lost. Teague needs to quit turning the ball over. Teague needs to learn to finish or quit shooting just use his speed to create for others. Honestly, I don't know if Teague has it, but I know Kirk is not the answer. Teague has a lot to prove. He has the tools just needs to use them correctly.

I expect Teague to find his way at some point and give you 15 pts 5 assists, 3 rebs in about 32 minutes a game. I expect that some will not be satisfied and say he is not a PG after this year which some already say.

Teague had very few turovers vs the Bulls in that series in fact he averaged less then 1.4 turns per game. But the Hawks have already stated that we're going to play more up Tempo basketball because of Teague, and Jeff has some serious expectations for this year I expect 18 pts 6-7 assists and 2-3 steals; and that Hinrich trade last year was just awful for us but the silver lining is that Hinrich will be a great mentor for young Jeff. I can feel it Jeff Teague is our PG for the future.

I don't have stats in mind, but what I'd like to see is that Teague becomes the dominant ballhandler and distributor on offense. Whether it's a success or not will be determined by those around him. If he can break down the defense and get easy baskets for Al, Josh, Marvin, and Joe then wonderful. If Teague comes anywhere near leading the team in shots it is a failure regardless of his stats. Last year when Teague played well Joe disappeared. For the sake of the team Joe needs to remember how to play without dribbling the ball for 15-20 seconds. That's not as easy as it sounds because being paid the max often makes a player think he needs to do it himself instead of filling a role. Hopefully he'll realize he's got a guaranteed contract and that he should do what's best for the team to win.

The other thing I'd like to see from Teague is improved d. Using his speed to stay in front of the opposing player. Haven't said that most of what I want to see if from Larry Drew. I want the coach to grow up and treat Teague fairly. Drew was extra tough of Teague for any offensive or defensive mistake to make up for his lack of power over most of the rotation. You can still correct and teach from his mistakes, but to yank him from the lineup when other players (with the exception of Zaza) are allowed untold numbers of screw ups ruins team morale and coach credibility. The kid is too important to be Drew's whipping boy. If it appears Drew hasn't improved in this area they should fire him and let someone else finish this season.

I 100% agree with u about Drew, Teague is way too valubal for that to happen, and he's way too young as well, Drew could damage Jeff mentally by pointing out EVERY mistake and yanking him for it; if Kirk hadn't gotten Drew wouldn't have played teague at all and we would've ended up getting swept or losing 4-1 to Chicago. And if it comes down to an its either Teague or Drew situation u have to fire LD, he's not worth losing Teague over.

That was my biggest problem with Drew last year. He let Jamal, Joe, and Josh do whatever they wanted and would jerk around Teague and Pachulia because he could. I'm not sure Teague's the answer, but he deserves a fair shot to succeed or fail on the court.

Thought dude would have BEEN a force in the league somewhat after he dominated college for that half a year.

But he still has time, but that time is now.

I'm hopin he gets about 17 points 7 assist 2 steals and 5 boards, he has to step up, his confidence should be a little higher after that series with the bulls.

If he ever gets his confidence to where it was at Wake Forest watch out!

Tonight against Kemba Walker(Pre-Season game) should be a good gauge of how he's going to do.

Looked okay in Preseason GM1, still needs to distribute more and finish his layups. He looked really good at on-ball defense.

I think jeff teague was one of the reason that the hawks did not resign Jamal Crawford. They feel he can pick up jamal points. I can see him getting about 14 to 17 ppg. His assist will be around 7 max and 5 min. What i want to see from teague is have he improve on his defense. Last year he gamble to much on defense. Teague was too hard on himself. When he made a miskate it affect the way he played. He acted like he had to be perfect. It might had been coach drew riding him to hard. This year u have to unleash teague and let him play. He is our x factor.

22 points 6 assist tonight looking good, hope he keeps is up, I said he would be a top 10 PG one day, hopefully its sooner than later.

Teague with a very nice game. 9 of 12 is very nice. 4 of 11 in the Washington game is a bit of a downer but he picked it back up.

His assist numbers won't be amazing with Drew's offense (ball constantly moving, not a very traditional type of offense), but he can provide a good scoring punch and steals.
