October 2010. LD explained how he was going to implement a new motion offense in which the players should be moving all the time, should be ready to move without the ball, etc, etc. For doing that, they should be commited, in great shape and willing to share. LD said the players were commited to do so and embraced the idea with a lot of interest.
Two weeks into the RS all that was forgotten, JJ dribbled for 18 secs in every possesion and the rest of the players just looked and him.
December 2011. A new defensive sistem or, better said, a new philosophy, would be implemented. For doing so, players should be in great shape, willing to believe in this...
I do not know what to think. Uptempo game, defensive activity, speed at all times should work well with the kind of players we have (small), but it scares me when Teague sais they will be trying to force players to go to the hole instead of shooting from outside. Who do we have there expecting them? Have we got Bill Russell, Howard or Chamberlain protecting the rim?
Also, are we running every night with McGrady, Stackhouse, Collins and Radmanovic? We do not have enough people to play uptempo and defense with Smith, Teague, Hinrich, JJ (?), Horford and Marvin. It does not seem to be the better idea when sometimes 3 games in a row can be played.
Al said Collins is in his best shape in 3 years.
Let's hope this all ends right, but it seems like a bad idea to me...
