Al Thornton is surprisingly still on the market

Post#1 » by Ruhiel » Tue Dec 20, 2011 9:15 pm

The 28-year-old Thornton averaged 7.4 points and 3 rebounds per game in 2011, during which he played for the Wizards and the Warriors. He was drafted 14th overall by the Clippers in 2007, and immediately became a solid player. He enjoyed a breakout season in 2008-09, when he averaged 16.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in 71 games, 67 of which he started. But he's regressed a bit in his development in recent years.

Not much upside but.
His Athleticism and size translates really well across the league and should help during the playoffs and in case of injury. 12mpg off the bench. Or split minutes with Marvin Williams

Amnestying Willaims and using his 8 millions a year to get Dalembert and Thornton would be great.
Our bench is garbage, you are right. We saw it yesterday.
We are goind to lose many games in the last quarter, or in the second of b2bs or in the third of b2b2bs.

And the coach wants ti run? The bench is old, scarce in number and quality and with not much health.

We shouldn't use our amnesty on Marvin right now; we need to save it and use it on Joe in a few years. I would rather be at the tax now then be handicapped for years to come. Face it guys this probably won't happen.

ATLboy, you are right.
Actually, I just saw the game against the Bobcats and Marvin played with a different intensity, playing more inside, but his actions were not all good.
JJ just did his usual things. I do not know why he wants to be so heavy (for a 2) and strong if he is always shooting and never going to the basket.
