Pre Conference NBA Draft Player Outlook

Power Forward

I took a look at JJ Hickson when comparing these players. Hickson was another one and done guy.

Anthony Davis- Looks like a superior rebounder at his position with good scoring numbers and superior blocking rates. He could stand to improve the rate at which he gets to the line but if you want your bigs to rebound, block shots and things associated to defense he looks like the #1 overall pick.

Jared Sullinger- His numbers are superior to JJ Hickson in every way. A complete stud and if this translates to the next level he will be a beast.

Thomas Robinson- This guy is a absolute beast when it comes to rebounding the ball and gets to the line at a good rate. He should be able to make a living rebounding the ball.

John Henson- He does some good things on the court, has good numbers and rates but I still question his body. When you watch how guys like Keith Benson still has problems with contact it is hard to see him being ready anytime soon, but his numbers and the competition that he does this against for the most part is impressive.

Cody Zeller- Probably is far from leaving college but he is quite a player at this point. Not quite as good as Hickson at this point in both of there careers but impressive numbers and rates all the same.

Honorable Mention:

JaMychal Green’s- rebounding rate was actually better than Hickson when both were freshman. The issue with Green though is he has not really gotten better or worse.

Arsalan Kazemi- He is slightly undersized but has really impressive rebounding rates for Rice University.

Buyer Be-ware:

Arnett Moultrie- Moultrie is having a great year and all will be forgiven but he did have a subpar rebounding year, the year before he transferred. He has also missed games with knee tendonitis. On the other hand, he will probably measure out really well, coupled with this strong year in a major conference he could actually be a 1st rounder, but you have to wonder a little is he benefiting from being one of the more mature players in college. The men playing with boys theory.

Finally, I did not give as much info as usual on these guys because I don’t really think we need to draft a PF in the 1st round. You can’t beat any of these guys in the 2nd though.
