Pre-Conference Draft Outlook Hawks Edition

Small Forward

Jeffery Taylor- Taylor is a very underrated SF prospect that could improve at the same time. He has some SF skills that most people in college don’t and that is his assist rates. They are on par with a one and done guy like Gerald Wallace, his Points Per Minutes are also on par with Wallace’s. He has maintained these things from freshman to senior year. His rebounding rates are inferior to those of Wallace’s but that goes for most.

Quincy Miller- His numbers at this point are better than Wallace as a assist guy and only slightly inferior as a PPG guy but much worse as a rebounder. He needs to improve his production rate as a scorer and rebounder but is a quality talent.

Terrence Jones- Jones is a bit of a mixed bag. His freshman production was better than Wallace’s with the exception of assist rate but he has fallen off in his sophomore campaign in every area. His Point Per Minute is still slightly better than Wallace but assist and rebounds are not on par.

CJ Leslie- Like Jones is a bit of a mixed bag. His freshman production was better than Wallace’s with the exception of assist rate but he has fallen off in his 2nd year and only remains on par in Points per minute.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist- MKG is looking really good so-far. His assist and scoring numbers are either on par with or greater than Wallace’s numbers at this same point. Rebounding is not there but 2 out of 3 at this point is not bad and better than most in the SF category.

The Guy you should look closer at:

Robbie Hummel- Hummel was not quite as good as Wallace as a freshman but his assist rates were better. He has grown over his Purdue career into a player whose career numbers are superior to those of Wallace in every area other than rebounding.

You Would Hate Me If I did Not Mention:

Perry Jones III- Is very overrated when it comes to production. He is only on par with Wallace when it comes to scoring.

Harrison Barnes- Very much like Jones is very overrated when it comes to production and is only on par when it comes to scoring.
