Hawks' Mental Breakdown

this was the third game in a row were the Hawks struggled in the 4th to put a team away.

first it was the Bulls and the big come back they had in the 4th.

then it was the Lebron-less Heat, with Horford missing a free throw.

now it was the Cats and allowing them to take the Hawks into overtime, when they had no business in keeping it that close.

the Defense just seems to be horrible in the 4th, seem like the Hawks are playing great defense from 1 to 3, but in the 4th, they are allowing what seems like +30.

maybe Kirk will help this situation, not only with his defense, but also with his ability to slow the game down if the other team starts to make a run.

but Joe needs to not really control the game, but at least control the pace by slowing it down in the 4th to try to cool off any run the other team might put together.

Horford also needs to do a better job rebounding in the 4th, and not letting the other team stay alive on a possession

There's a simple solution to closing out these games, FREE THROWS!!!, this team really is one of the weakest teams mentally, the Hawks always choke under pressure first it was teague missing 2 vs chicago, then Joe who's our FT go to guy missed one vs Chicago, and tonight it was the over 80% Marvin missing his FTs. If we hit our free throws we win vs chicago and miami and are 6-1..
