Lets get it on.

Notes: Larry Drew says he's considering lineup changes. Now that might mean starting Ivan and moving Josh Smith to the backcourt for some rebounding and transition game advantage.

Or that might mean ignoring size in regards to rebounding, staying small and relying on Vlad and SteFon UrKel or Hinrich or Willie Green for scoring bookoo points.

Seeing how this seasons gone with LD I'm thinking option 2.

Attending Hawks fans could be greeted with a rugged bully lineup:

Jeff Teague vs Darren Collison
Joe Johnson vs Paul George (experience)
Josh Smith vs Danny Granger (battle of the "snubs", or maybe soph. Paul George vs Smith in the post?? intriguing)
Ivan Johnson vs David West (muscle vs muscle)
Zaza Pachulia vs Roy Hibbert (advantage IND?)

----
Game scheduled for 4:30PM (PT).

Josh Smith to the backcourt? I hope that was just a honest mistake

In regards to Miami's devastating fastbreak LD calls it the backcourt. It makes more sense to me now.
I started calling it the backcourt because Larry Drew said somewhere the 1, 2, and 3 are the backcourt. It made sense because thats who gets out in the fastbreak first.

It makes more sense why we absolutely suck at times.

Backcourt examples:
Westbrook, Harden, Durant (OKC)
Chalmers, Wade, Lebron
Rose, Brewer, Deng
Holiday, Meeks, Iguodala
Collison, George, Granger
Teague, Johnson, Marvin Williams

We're 21st in Pace. Out of 30 teams btw.

The Atlanta Hawks all starts to make a lot more sense to that way.

this looks like a bad game for the hawks . indiana has a huge frontcourt and the hawks are just too small . id be surprised if the pacers dont win the rebound battle by double digits .

Since Al Horford has gone down this team has won and lost on Joe Johnson (with the exception of a few games), for this team to win without Al Joe has to play like Arenas back when he was with the Wizards pre injury, Gibert carried that team on his back and that's what Joe has to do.

Looking good 6 minutes in. Marvin hit a 3 then used his wide butt to post up Granger, Kirk got space and fired off a 3. Josh only taken 1 jumper and Joe making Paul G. look like an uncouth rookie.

And yes I had to check uncouth on google dictionary.

the hawks are making me eat my words and i couldnt be happier . they are doing a great job on the boards , playing with alot of energy and knocking down their shots . i know the pacers are coming off a game last night but this is a great first half . hopefully they keep it up in the 2nd half .

nah, I got to make the pessimistic thread, list all their advantages vs ours and then the Hawks got to prove us wrong.

Marvins outplaying Granger inside courtesy of some good passes by Zaza. We're scoring without our last option or wasting clock. The dreaded midrange Jumper from Josh with 3 seconds left on the clock.

Drew is running a bit more pick and rolls. There was a JJ pick and roll with Zaza that got us in the Bonus and then a double pick and roll with Josh Smith setting one first then circling to the opposite side the ball swung and he shot a 6 foot dribble jumper over Hibbert. some good stuff but then there was a Kirk+Josh PnR but JJ's man was there on the ball side and Smith rolled into JJs man. It wasnt open.
Zaza befuddling and reaching around Hibbert in the post and making layups. Paul George showing his youth.
Good stuff overall.

Smoove with a monster slam!!! It takes me back to the old days when he did that on a daily basis instead of chucking up jump shots.
