Key to the game: We need to play as a team and quit going iso, we'll finally have a chance without Joe.
Lets put a stop to this:

The Knicks are gonna play fast paced in this game, we have to match their tempo, we'll have a chance without Joe slowing down the game, we gotta run at the speed of sound

A day early again? And this thread does nothing to provide insight on positional matchups. Its just lists stats.
And Are we renowned for our Coldplay haters on here? Am I missing something?

All my threads are like this, and so are alot of the other threads, what positional matchups are you asking for? And Idk who the Coldplay haters are, I know that there are alot of haters out there, I was just saying for future referances.

Teague needs to step up and be more productive. Coach Drew really needs to get things together and be more consistent with his subs.
NY is favored to win by 5 points.

6'4 Jeremy Lin vs 6'2 Jeff Teague
6'8 McGrady vs 6'8 Landry Fields
6'8 Josh Smith vs 6'8 Carmelo Anthony
6'8 Ivan Johnson vs 6'10 Amare Stoudemire
6'11 Zaza Pachulia vs 7'1 Tyson Chandler
blah blah say what you say but with Anthony still healing that's an unexpected and favorable lineup that would scare New York fans the most and give us the most favorable to win.
If Smith is gonna play 40+ minutes... Start him off as a pest to Melo see if we can make him take contested shots at the rim that are detrimental to his team. Be a ball stopper and give up offensive boards.
Put Ivan on the big stage and put his 250+ lbs to work on Stoudemire. Role player battle in Marvin vs Fields. See if Zaza can pull off another Orlando type effort vs Chandler.
------------
Bench:
Pargo vs Baron???
JR Smith vs Willie Green
SF vs McGrady
Vlad vs Novak
Dampier??? vs Jeffries Here it breaks down. We might have to go small and overextend Josh+Ivan+Damp

knicks have been playing well lately . this will be a tough matchup . when horford first got injured i still thought atlanta could get the 6th seed and if horford came back the hawks might have a chance at beating the sixers . but now with the way things are going the hawks maybe battling boston for the 7 - 8 seed . is it really worth making the playoffs to get beat in the first round to the bulls or heat ? if the hawks dont make a trade by the deadline and turn things around this team is better just missing the playoffs and moving up a little in the draft . maybe they get really lucky and and their ping pong ball gets pulled and we get a top 3 pick .

A lot of players arent tradeable until March 1st. So that could be a snag.
Either way next year hope to have a real GM. No pun intended. You look at most SFs in our Conference and its tough for me not to be pissed at Sund.
Lebron James: Ht: 6'8 Lgth: 7'0 Weight: 250+
Melo Anthony: Ht: 6'8~ Lgth: 7'0 Weight: 240~
Danny Granger: Ht: 6'8.5 Lgth: 7'1.5 Weight: 230~
Andre Iguodala: Ht: 6'7~ Lgth: 6'11 Weight: 225~
Josh Smith: Ht: 6'8 Lgth: 7'0.5 Weight: 225~
Luol Deng: Ht: 6'8 Lgth: 7'0.5 Weight: 220~
After Horford went down we became a more traditional team with traditional strengths but traditional weaknesses as well. We aren't playing traditional lineups however and we're getting beat up on matchups.
The reason Joe Johnson cant play SF. Rebounding. He doesn't bring length toughness or quickness to the boards. And all LD can say is guards go rebound.
We know your guards arent taking the ball away from Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. You idjit. Tell us what is really going on.
You're stealing money from your fans so you can go and select Keith Benson/Varnado 2.0 from Mississippi?
An important trade deadline is MArch 1st where a lot of big men become available...we'll see if Sund makes a move. His contracts almost up. It would be in everyone's long term interest if he made a splash with trading Hinrich for a big.

Teague is very productive. He shoots at a higher percentage than the 2 stars on the team one which happens to be a fake PF in Josh. Teague does not need to go around forcing things for you or any other fan. Hinrich needs to earn that $8 million and show he is worth those 2 1st rd picks. Josh needs to stop chucking. LD needs to learn how to manage a team. Sund and ASG need to go. There are a laundry list of things hurting the team over Teague and his highly effective play. The guy basically has the same per as the $120 man. Where is this silly Teague needs to do this and that coming from?

I honestly already have very mixed feelings about who I'm rooting for this game, feelings that are sure to only get more conflicted as the game draws near.

By the way, I understand you don't care as you should not but I am skipping this game. Josh Smith taking 25 plus shots is not what I need to see.

How many minutes do you think Pargo is going to play?

He better be given a serious chance after his great performance vs Chicago, but the minutes will vary depending on how he plays. If Drew doesn't even give the kid a chance then he'll lose what little credibility he has with me

Pargo will likely be in with Hinrich at SG. Not that Hinrich can defend create or score from that spot.

Who plays more minutes tonight?
Willie Green or McGrady?

I don't know but I assume it'll be Willie, he's proven himself as a vital piece for our team and would be a better player to make up for Joe's absence scoring wise.

Willie Green in the blowout.
Seriously what matchups is this guy LD looking at? He even said that starting Green drains the bench. Then we get blown out by the Bulls with Green scoring 6 pts on 6 shots in 18 minutes.
Rinse and repeat I guess. We have no post up threats and thats the way LD likes it.
Green will play more in what eventually becomes a blowout is my guess.
Obviously LD and the Hawks franchise views Josh Smith as some sort of superstar. This looks worse than most of Lebron's Cleveland/Orlando's Dwight's casts.
Jeff Teague
Willie Green
Marvin Williams
Zaza Pachulia
---
pg-Janero Pargo
sg-Kirk Hinrich
sf-Tracy McGrady
c-Erick Dampier
ATL has no business being in this game and are happy to be tanking because they are so very successful in the draft. I wouldn't put it past Sund & LD to be doing this because of no contract extension :/

Plan seems to be play lockdown D and leak the **** out right away for fast break points. Funny that we play faster without Joe.
