How Disappointed Are You That We Did Not Make a Bigger Move?

Well, if you didn't hear we did make a move. We moved 1 of our 2 2nd rd picks to Golden State for cash to help offset the little amount of luxury we could end up paying. That is sad to me because it shows we are just doing the same stuff over and over again. We did the same thing a couple of years ago when we gave away a early 2nd rd pick for cash to OKC. Nothing has changed Sund just keep digging holes then giving away assets to try and get out of those holes.
The question is how disappointed are you?

Sund is the ASG puppet. I seriously doubt he wanted to move pieces to only gain cash in return that will never go in his pocket.

Not at all. We are a hurt team that I still think is on the path to the Eastern conference finals. I have no interest in blowing up a team to get worse in hopes of some day getting better. We have a young core, and unless we are talking about getting out of Joe Johnsons horrible contract or trading Smith for jefferson(a guy can dream) then I really am happy they didn't make moves just for the sake of making moves.

Not at all, ASG: WLOC. A move will only occur when it's practically dictated to us.

Very true.
I say I'm at the scale of 1. I'd rather they made 0 moves but that trade pick just brought back everything with ASG, why free agents avoid us like the plague, Josh leaving etc back into focus.
Sund's mandate is too not pay the luxury tax.

Camby, Nene, McGee, Dalembert, would have all been nice. Even Kaman but we all are pretty sure that if he is waived he once again shows you what the Hawks peers think about them being contenders and goes to a real one

To be honest, I was expecting a non-move at all. So, scale 1 for me. I guess most of us get hyped up with all the trades happening that we would like to see some moves coming from the ATL too. I would love to see another big man coming here but I guess we'll have to wait on Horford.
How about picking up Greg Oden off waivers?

I can’t wait until somebody in the organization points to the fact that the Hawks are one of the only teams to go into the luxury tax this year as proof of its commitment to winning. We went into the luxury tax for:
Jerry Stackhouse
If the Hawks kept Keith Benson on the roster instead of Stackhouse, he would be on a sub-veterans minimum deal and probably would have made the signing of Damp until the end of the season unnecessary. Benson blocked more shots in the pre-season than Damp has this season.

Didn't expect a move at all, so hard to be disappointed.
Jerry Stackhouse's value is more for locker room than on-court contribution. The team has stayed together and played hard in spite of having more injuries problems than the last few years. I feel confident that it isn't Larry Drew that's inspiring and holding the team together. Signing Dampier for the the rest of the season was a calculated risk, but in my eyes they went into the luxury tax as much to make up for skimping on coaching as anything involving the roster.
Oden's out for the season and considering they sold a pick to pay the luxury tax bill I wouldn't relish increasing the bill with another rental.

Barbosa for Kurt and a 2nd.... it would have been good for the Hawks
Marvin for the Nets' 1st round pick...... oh man, i don't know if it would have been possible, but i hope that the Hawks even atleast tried.
Sessions for Kurt and a 1st.... no way, horrible for the Hawks
Camby for Kurt, Vlad and a 1st... yeah its good, but i don't think the Rockets accept
Monta for Horford.... no way
Stephen Jackson for Marvin..... push
Nene for Horford.... no, Horford is slightly better
all in all, i didn't see any centers on the market and i didn't see any upgrades at SF. good job for the Hawks at not making any bad decision and jumping off the cliff from pressure around the NBA. its better that the Hawks didn't make a move due to panic, just like what the Nets and Warriors did.

You neglected to mention that Andrew Bogut was available. Josh is more valuable than Ellis. We would have gotten more from MIL.
Camby for Thabeet, Flynn and a 2nd? A 1st from us would be better. Hinrich and a 1st would be much better.

Jerry West definitely knows what he is doing. He has a legit C and a young PG who I think is nothing more than young Bibby but still he is well thought of to build around. He got rid of a SG that is hard to build around in Monta. Monta needs to be with a big guard like Joe and let Joe run the offense. He and Brandon will be murder to guard though but winning anything I don't know about that. I always liked Monta because I would start him at the PG position and let Joe run the offense since Joe is not a #1 option anyway I see no harm in not running the offense through him in scoring positions, let Joe be the late clock Iso player he is, but whatever. I think the Wiz did better than anyone but Bogut was a good move for GS also

Terrence Williams wouldn't be a bad move right now.. not really a floor spacer, but I think he is too talented to pass up..
