NJ @ Atlanta 7:30 PM

New Jersey at Atlanta

The Hawks are favored to win this one by 7.5 points and have won the previous four meetings.

Zaza Pachulia has an issue with his Achilles and will miss tonight's game. It seemed like he was trying to keep both feet on the ground against Cleveland and I guess we know why now. It caused him to miss some easy shots and including a layup.

The starting lineup for New Jersey will probably be:
Deron Williams
MarShon Brooks
Gerald Wallace
Kris Humphries
Shelden Williams

Didn't know about Zaza, if it aint one thing it's another. :nonono: At least Marvin and Ivan are supposed to play, so it's good to have some bodies in return. I liked Crash better when he was with the Blazers it seems like it's 2 of him, when Atlanta faces him.

Had I been bothered enough to post a bunch of pics for a game thread the other day, this would've been Teague's pic.

Zaza must have had that issue all year if we are going to state that as the reason he misses layups.

Tough game so far. Josh taking bad shots early in the clock as usual. Deron taking it at Teague. They obviously saw his numbers against him and want to post him up and make Drew take him out the game. It worked to a certain extinct.

So, there I am, watching NBATV, and they're talking about how great it would be to see Josh OUT WEST. Can't get no respect...

Rathburn said 3 starters played 40+ min, Hinrich played 39. At least we won this 'un but we'll pay for that, soon.

Yeah, that isn't a 1-time occurrence either. All month JJ, Smoove, Hinrich, Teague, and Zaza have been fairly consistently player high-30's/low-40's in minutes. Need to get these guys a little break sometime before the playoffs.

We're at the beginning of a 5-game stretch in 6 days.

Hard to get breaks when there is no one there, this team is really banged up and I'm really interesting, excited to see what they can do when and if they get back to full strength.

We had 50 points in the paint to the Nets 28.

Strange but very few fast break points. Hawks 8, Nets 5.

I think tomorrow is going to be close against Washington. It's on the road, Drew has been playing our guys a great deal of minutes, so it's going to hurt us eventually. I expect to lose to Washington or Utah.

Josh shot 13 inside shots, 12 outside. Of those 12 outside shots, he made .... 2. Ya'd think he'd see....

Beginning to think that stretch when he was taking the ball inside was an attempt to get teams interested before the trade deadline.

“I wanted to work more on my decision-making than anything. I handle the ball so much on the fast break and in transition that I wanted to make sure I’m thinking the game the way I need to be. I also worked on my handles and knocking down that mid-range jumper. I’m really not worried about the 3-point ball right now. We have so many guys on this team that can make that shot.

“I don’t have any business being out there this season with Joe Johnson, Mike Bibby, Jamal Crawford, Marvin, Mo and [Jeff] Teague all doing work out there. I have to focus on working in the cracks and making sure that people respect my mid-range game. And if they don’t, we have to make them pay for not respecting it.”

Geez.

I hear ya, but, 2 out of 12 from outside, in a tight game, while he was hitting 10 out of 13 from inside?

And, in the 4th (the FOURTH), he went 1-4 outside and 3 for 3 inside.

A little circumspection, please.

Idk what circumspection is. Sounds dirty. :)

edit: I'm reading BSPN Play by Play and it says his 2nd FGA was a 25ft 3PA smh
Wth was BSPN watching?

Smith transition score, dive cuts, hook shots on Jordan Willliams and Gerald Wallace...etc.
Its not as if Smith is Shaquille O’Neal who can get all his shots inside.
