Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett "probably" will not play tonight against the Atlanta Hawks in an important game that could determine whether the Celtics begin the playoffs on the road.

Bradley - Hinrich
Dooling - Teague
Pavlovic - Johnson
Bass - Smith
Stiesma - Collins

6th men: Ivan Johnson, Marvin, McGrady, Willie, Pargo
vs , Sean Williams, Keyon Dooling,

Before I learned Rondo was out I was willing to bet Hawks barely draw even on boards & the game is tight.

I don't know now. Not up for a letdown but with 5 of top players peachtreehoops is asking "Blowout?"

Rondo, Pietrus and Ray Allen are out too. If Garnett and Pierce are really scratched this is what you're looking at:

Starting lineup guess-

Bradley
Dooling
Pavlovic
Bass
Stiemsma

Bench:

E'Twaun Moore
Daniels
JaJuan Johnson
Sean Williams
Hollins

DNP, hurt or resting:

Rondo
Allen
Pierce
Pietrus
Garnett

way to take the luster from a game by sitting the key players. These professional sports can be so unprofessional some times

Well- three guys are injured and the other two just played 11 games in 15 days with flights between every game. It makes sense.

Yea, having homecourt over the Hawks would be nice, being able to have their players actually play would be nicer. They aren't getting homecourt in any other round anyway and they are vet enough and familiar enough to feel confident about beating the Hawks on the road in the playoffs.

I'm not gonna complain, I think we need homecourt to beat Boston in the first round and I'll take any win any way to make sure we get that homecourt. Now if the big 4 is out and we lose tonight on ESPN then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs

Makes no sense as usual. I guess the Bulls don't deserve to be in because they lost to the Wiz at home a couple of games ago and they still have not secured homecourt throughout the east?

And that game against the Wiz had playoff implication how? If we win this game against the Celtics second unit we'll have homecourt, the Wizards still have the number 1 seed even with that loss.

The game against the Wiz clearly had playoff implications because they have yet to lock up the Eastern Conference homecourt throughout as I stated in the first post

I never thought that I would rather listen to Bob and Nique than ESPN, but ESPN announcers are annoying. They only point out the negatives about the Hawks. Wonder what the bytches will have to say once we beat Boston and Chicago and make it to the ECFinals

Get the sense that even with scrubs a good system and coach can keep a team competitive.

But that game wasn't as big as this one, Chicago had 3 losses less than Miami and they've pretty much locked homecourt up already, they weren't under as much pressure as we are right now playing the team we're gonna play in the first round. Also the Wiz actually have a beast player in John Wall who can carry a team if only for one game, and Rose was out.

It's sad that most of the fans in the crowd are Boston fans

Yes, luck. They need that. Hawks are in shambles right now. And the crowd cheers for almost every spurt the Celtics make. What's up with that? I thought this is being played at Philips Arena.

How much confidence can you have taking on a team if you can't even handle their d team?
