Andre Miller?

Any chance we could sign Andre Miller for the MLE? He runs a pretty mean pick and roll, plays smart, defends solid. He needs some shooters near him. He'd make Horford a boss. Teague I think would make a nice six-man in a Jason Terry type role.

We need too many pieces to be going after these old over the hill stopgaps. Sorry if I don't share the upbeat attitude over the Miller and Nash types. They would put too much pressure on our small frontline to defend the paint just like Bibby did. So, we would need to spend some more money to get a legit C. IMO, we are better off trading Josh and or Joe and getting young talent to build correctly for longterm success instead of trying to piece together a better PG and a legit C to see what Josh Smith can do in his final year, then just letting him walk for nothing.

I agree we should trade Josh and I really think that would make us better (even if it's just Josh for Biedrins/Wright/#7), but I don't see Joe going anywhere. We're not gonna amnesty him, and I really doubt anyone would trade for him. MAYBE Toronto, Golden State, Memphis, or Dallas. So if we're going to be in the playoffs (and Horford+Joe equals playoffs I think with an ok supporting cast) I figure we should add some pieces to make us better in the playoffs.

Back to Miller, is he really that bad of a defender now? I thought he was pretty solid, but I haven't watched him in a while.

Plus, Nash would instantly make us relevant in the media, but that's a different story.

superior, I agree with you long term that is how the approach should be, but you know what we have here with this management team. We are guaranteed to see Marvin longer than we are the coach or GM.

We will be lucky to have 2 rooks on the roster come opening day, and we willl have last year's version of cheap vets, vets that aren't being wooed by other teams.

Sund is always looking for a four leaf clover in a field of daisies, hench Willie Green, Stack, Collins, Dampier, Pargo and Radmonivic. I wouldn't be surprised to see all of them return.

Ivan and T-Mac? I don't expect to see either back.
