Post#1 » by Superiorblogman » Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:34 am

What do you think the Hawks draft board should look like. I will tally the numbers on Wednesday night before the draft which is on Thursday and post the official Real GM board.

Top 15 Please, and in order from 1-15 with 1 being the one you want most :D

Not sure what this draft board exactly entails... is it my complete ranking of the draft class? Or players that will fall to our pick? It seems odd to have a draft board which has guys like Drummon, Barnes, and Beal on it, but not Anthony Davis or MKG, leading me to believe this draft board is... neither?

Your top 15 for the Hawks has nothing to do with me and my opinions and vice versa. The only stipulation is it must be 15. If you want to put the players you noted on there that is your business.

No, you don't understand. I have no idea what the hell you're asking for when you state "draft board." I need some sort of context.

Yes, I totally understand and the title says it all. "List your Hawks Top 15 Draft Board". It is not rocket science. Trades are being discussed as we speak. Thus, I will not leave anyone out that I want in my top 15. If you don't know what a draft board is then you probably should just not list it. It is simply your top 15 options for the Hawks. If you don't think they will move up from 23 list players that will be there at 23 even though you don't know who will be there. There are no restrictions there is no reason to turn this into a thread of people trying to tell each other what is realistic and not when the #2 pick is rumored to be in play. The only stipulation is that you must list 15 and you must do them in order.

I'm with azuresou1 on this one. I think you mean the 15 best options for the Hawks, out of all of the players. And you confused him because you went against convention. But for one reason or another are not a big Anthony Davis/MKG fan (which is fine, I question the offensive game of both guys)

1. Anthony Davis
2. Harrison Barnes
3. Thomas Robinson
4. Bradley Beal
5. Tyler Zeller
6. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
7. Andre Drummond
8. Meyers Leonard
9. Arnett Moultrie
10. Terrence Ross
11. Dion Waiters
12. Jeremy Lamb
13. Austin Rivers
14. Fab Melo
15. Festus Ezeli

You don't have to think about what I mean because I made it quite clear it is your list. Why the **** would the Hawks top 15 draft board have anything on it but players that are there top 15 options? Good list by the way and thanks for participating.

I think what he is trying to say is, what is your(you as an individual) draft board for the Hawks. Meaning, who do "YOU" want or what kind of draft board do you have for the Hawks.

Me personally, I think we should go with Melo in the first, but find another pick that could net Quincy Miller. Wroten would be a nice pick up as well. If the draft turned out perfect, I would love to have added Melo, Miller, and Wroten in some kind of way.

Heres my list though:
1- Myers Leonard
2- Fab Melo
3- Quincy Miller
4- Tony Wroten
5- John Jenkins
6- Evan Fournier
7- Festus Ezeli
8- Orlando Johnson
9- Henry Sims
10-Will Barton
11-Kyle O'Quinn
12-Scott Machado
13-Kim English
14-15 are unknown.

Good list. You get it. You have people not even slated in the 1st rd because it is your list of best options for the Hawks.

Personally, Anthony Davis is not on my list because NO has never mentioned doing anything with the #1 pick but taking him and furthermore, you would have to move up to get him and I don't see giving up Josh for a PF, Al needs to be playing PF so Davis does not fit. I would move up for Drummond, Barnes, and Beal but noone else. I would move up a couple of spots for Zeller and Moultrie if they fell out of the lottery. I would not move up to like #20 if it would insure PJIII but no higher. I would then stay in place because I think Wroten has a real shot to be better than anything else on my list, but once again I can't tell you how to think. If someone thinks Davis is a good option put him on your list but I don't.

7. Jared Sullinger
8. Royce White

1. Anthony Davis
2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
3. Andre Drummond
4. Thomas Robinson
..... maybe future all stars

5. Harrison Barnes
6. Jeremy Lamb
7. Meyers Leonard
8. Kendall Marshall
..... they should be solid starters

9. Perry Jones
10. Jared Sullinger
11. Jeffery Taylor
12. Royce White
13. Tony Wroten
14. Terrence Jones
15. Quincy Miller
16. Austin Rivers
17. Dion Waiters
18. John Henson
19. Arnett Moultrie
...... Question mark group. even though Perry is #9 and Moultrie is #19, i don't see a big difference between the two. most in this group are in the same tier and numerical ranking doesn't mean much.

20. Tyler Zeller
21. Damian Lillard
22. Marquis Teague
23. Terrence Ross
24. Bradley Beal
...... i don't have much faith in this group. Beal reminds me of Ed Gray, Zeller has short arms, Lillard reminds me of Kemba. i would rather take a risk on the tier above than this group.

Melo and Ezeli are second round talents like Keith Benson.

1. Thomas Robinson
2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
3. Andre Drummond
4. Tyler Zeller
5. Meyers Leonard
6. Arnett Moultrie

9. Fab Melo
10. Damian Lillard
11. Moe Harkless
12. Andrew Nicholson

I left off Anthony Davis on the grounds he should be gone before first pick in play via trade.
