Devin Harris for Marvin Williams.

Post#1 » by tatertotsnjuice » Mon Jul 2, 2012 10:21 pm

Our Salt Lake sports radio station is reporting this trade is almost completed. Just waiting for you guys to complete the Joe Johnson trade.

You guys have any extra info on it?

Thoughts?

Seems like its a good fit for both teams. I think Marvin will play well in the Jazz structured offense.

I'm probably the biggest supporter of Marvelous on the board, so let me chime in. We have always played him in the corner, just letting him stand out there while the offense ran without him. So, on that hand, he has never been allowed to flourish. On the other hand, it's entirely possible that our coaches saw little from him in practice ... and what you see is what he is.

Personally, I think you're going to be happy: he's a very good defender, a good 3-pt shooter, gets to the line when he drives and has no ego.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

...................what? Why does Utah do this?
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

As a Houston fan I hope so. Do you think they will go full rebuild and deal Horford, too?

I think the Rockets would have dealt for Horford and Smith even if they had to take on Williams.

NOW it's a no-brainer.

We have enough prospects for two teams and have avenues to clear cap space to take on more salary than we send out.
