Hawks traded for Kyle Korver, its believed to be a Kirk Hinrich S&T which is great cause Hinrich was gone anyway, I like the move cause Korver can play some SF and is a lights out shooter, Ferry keeps on making great moves

It seems weird to have Morrow, Jenkins, and Korver all on the same roster, so I'd expect at least one of them to be moved.
Or are you stockpiling good shooters like the Rockets are young PFs?

I have no idea what Ferry will do next, his moves have been without warning (but they have all been great) so time will tell my friend

Korver was gone regardless as well. If his knee holds up better this year you guys are getting a great sharpshooter and human being.

Love this move.
It's also good for Chicago because it gives them more flexibility to keep Asik, or at least use their mid-level on a replacement big.

Korver's great, but he gives you absolutely nothing Morrow doesn't. And Morrow's a tad cheaper too.
But Korver's unguaranteed deal could be VERY enticing when packaged with expirings.
A trade like Farmar+Korver could net you an expiring big from a team looking to save cash...Jose Calderon, as an example.

we bought out Farmar the other day, and IK its just an example but I dont think Calderone is someone we should trade for, we have 3 PGs

Korver can play the 3, so maybe we're starting him?
Or maybe we'll just run Teague/Jenkins/Morrow/Korver/Smith and bomb treys all day >_>

Korver is 6'8, and Morrow 6'6.5 with good wingspan, both can play the SF.
Just guessing...
Teague-Harris
LWilliams-Jenkins/Stevenson
Korver-Morrow/Stevenson
Smith-JWilliams/Scott
Horford-Pachulia/Petro
No room for Ivan Johnson, he didn't resign yet, did he? I think they let him leave.

This is a team ANY big man would love to play for! Great shooting at the 2/3, solid penetrators and distributors at the 1, a high flying defensive enforcer, and a versatile big man who drains the mid-range. All thats missing is that big guy in the center!!!

Oh yeah... Absolutely love this trade! Kirk already out the door, Ferry swoops in to take a legit 3 who drains the three and hustles on defense! I'll take that any day!

i don't like the trade, but is not bad either, because Korver only has one year left on his contract.
i agree..... maybe Korver starts at SF with Korver getting 15mpg, Ivan getting 15mpg, and Zaza getting 15mpg.
C: Horford 35mpg
PF: Smoove 35mpg
SF: Korver 15mpg
SG: Morrow 20mpg
PG: Teague 30mpg
6th: Louis 20mpg
........ i have a feeling that Jenkins is going to get 2mpg

I'm thinking Morrow is the odd man out, unless he really shows something this year.
-Jenkins was specifically targetted by Ferry in the draft. Even bypassing higher rated players like Arnett Moultrie and Perry Jones III.
-Korver was specifically traded for by Ferry.
-Morrow was more or less just part of the salary dump. He was included for numbers purposes since we couldn't pry MarShon Brooks from New Jersey.
Just a thought.

I really wanna know what are our plans? It seems like Dwight a year early, but why?! We can keep assets and still get him next year. Even save money without his bird rights. I like these moves (Korver, Lou) but I haven't pieced this together yet. Hope Ferry has been checking on Oden, and I hope we grab that Brazilian center.

I disagree, Morrow is one of the players on Dwights list of players he wants to play with

I did not know that. Interesting.
C Webber stated that Louis Williams, the newest Hawks acquisition, was also a long time friend of Howard. Very Interesting strategy.

Teague, Lou Will, and Korver starting would be a wreck defensively

Teague is a good defender but Lou Will will be a 6th man, our starting lineup might be
Teague
Jenkins/Morrow
Smith
Horford
Zaza
