What are you guys expecting out of Teague next year? Will it be a time share at the PG spot with Devin Harris or is Teague gonna be the man from day 1?

Im also curious what your statistical expectations are for Teague next season. Am I a silly goose to hope for 14ppg, 6apg, 1.8spg on 48% shooting?

Instead of starting a new thread, could you guys also discuss your stats expectations for Al Horford next year? Is 16/10/2.5/1/1 a real possibility?

Teague's development is something I'm particularly interested in watching this season. He was pretty good last year and I even think he tired a lot at the end of the season. He's shooting numbers bear that out: 57% (from the floor)/37% (from 3) in 4 games in December; 48/43 in January; 43/44 in February; 45/18 in March; 54/35 in April. Considering it was his 1st season as a starter and in a compressed season, it appears he lost his legs a little in the February/March area when we played 20 games in 32 nights. Our off-season acquisitions should both help Teague's numbers (a trio of dead eye shooters on the wings should convert some kick outs into assists) and hurt them (L Williams and, to a lesser extent, D Harris could cut into his minutes some).

Overall, I expect similar per game numbers as last year - 12.5p/5a/1.5s - from Teague (maybe a slight increase in assists to 5.5-6) although in less minutes which would hide his overall efficiency (50% from the floor; high-30% from 3) while playing very good to elite D. If Teague finds his way onto the floor more with Williams or completely bumps Harris out of the rotation (something I wouldn't think would be completely unlikely) then I could see the numbers you suggest.

As for Horford, I haven't heard anything that suggests that his injury would be lingering so I expect him to settle back into his pre-'12 form: 15p/9.5r/3a/1b/1s. The bigger question IMO would be whether he truly accepts the C role or still desires moving to PF.

I can easily see AL matching Josh's numbers from this season if given more opportunities.

He's avg 15 and 9 as the third option. In a more flowing offense with more three point threats on the floor and as the 2nd option on offense, he should get more touches and better spacing.

I'm predicting 18 ppg and 10 rpg from AL.

Teague, I suspect that Devin Harris will be motivated to produce in a contract season and will take over the starter's role.

If we had a better coaching staff, I would say increased production from Teague. As is, I think they are going to put him on a short leash with the intentions of eventually putting a player not as good as him (Harris) in the starting spot.

Also to close out games, you can't play Lou Williams with any conventional PG as he is too bad a defender, so that will lead to the benching of Teague(our best back court defender).

Surprised to see the comments here in regards to Harris. I wouldn't think that Ferry took on Harris as a potential player as much as getting Marvin's contract off the books. UTH has been trying to dump Harris for 2 years and only got us to take him because we were giving up a worse contract.

Not to say that Harris won't have a role here, but I'd be surprised if he got more than the MLE next off-season so our odds of keeping him aren't so much better than any other team whose willing to give him any $$. Teague is an RFA that has shown some promise and I'd guess that Ferry would want to evaluate him over a full season before making a decision as to what to pay him. If someone gives Teague more $$ than we're willing to, then he proves he's worth it, then that's basically the WCS for Ferry. I suspect that Ferry will do everything in his power to ensure that won't happen.

I understand the argument that Drew is the one on the bench and ultimately controls the minutes a player gets, but he's also only got 1 year left on his deal. If Drew plays Harris over guys that Ferry prefers, then Drew is gone and he knows that too. My guess is that Drew would be more concerned over keeping his job or at least showing that he can be a team player for another GM than simply eking out a few extra wins (if, in fact, Harris is actually worth a few extra Ws - something I doubt).
