Josh Smith is a very talented Power forward. I feel his attitude holds him back from reaching his true potential. His offense skills are limited but he is a great defender.Overall I still feel he is a top 10 Power Forward in the League. He is somewhere between 7-10. Where do u rank him

he puts up similar numbers as Gasol, Melo, but not anywhere near as dependable from 15 feet out as those 2.

Id probably rank him in the top 20, simply because what qualifies as a PF these days is tough.

To be honest you have to consider
Lebron
Durant
Melo
Love
Dirk/Duncan

Then you have:
Gasol
KG(he could arguably top 5 ahead of Duncan and Dirk)
Blake Griffin
Aldridge
Technically Bosh plays PF

Youd have a hard time working Smith ahead of any of those guys IMO I dont know if J Smoov makes top 10 on my list.

I would rank Smoove 6th or 7th. it depends on weather or not Bosh plays PF or Center. here are my list.

if Bosh plays center this year.

1. Love 2. Dirk Nowitzki 3. Blake Griffin 4. LaMarcus Aldridge 5. Pau Gasol 6. Smoove

if Bosh plays PF this year.

1. Love 2. Dirk Nowitzki 3. Blake Griffin 4. LaMarcus Aldridge 5. Bosh 6. Pau Gasol 7. Smoove

LOL how can you rank Dirk ahead of Tim Duncan and KG? KG put up WAY better numbers last year than Dirk.

LBJ and Durant both play PF positions.

Griffin isnt even a top 10 IMO

I am not going who but up what kind of number. nor am I going off what positions some players are forced to play. Durant and Lebron are not PF, they are SF. and as far as numbers Kris Humphries put up similar number to Duncan but I would not but him in the same convo with Mr. Timmy. I do not agree with you that KG or Duncan but up better numbers. Dirk is ask to score for his team...... he is the man guy with the ball in his hands in crunch time ( that used to be Duncan, it is not anymore) and Dirk has been a 20+ point scorer for what the last 10 years when was the last time KG or Duncan Averaged 20 for the season? KG and Duncan are not the best PF's when it comes to there play on the court now. but If I was talking all time great PFs the Mr. Duncan would be #1.

I'd rate him right behind Al Horford.

Josh Smith is very, very talented. The glaring issue with Smoove is his inability to take smart shots. He became infatuated with the three point shot, even though now he seems to cut back on it. Very solid defender, can chase-down fast players with ease with his impressive body control. Not that bad on the glass for a smaller power forward, but his vertical is certainly an asset to rebounding. Comparing Josh to the elite power forward is difficult, as Josh is very unique - most power forwards are roughly 6'9+, decent in the low post and excel at shooting. Overall, he's easily top ten. Between 6-10, not exactly the best, or in the top tier.

I would put him in the top ten as well. His offensive skills would be much better put to use if he had a veteran guard (i.e. Nash, Billups) running the show.

How does Stoudemire get ahead of DLee? Maybe 2 years ago, but these days Lee easily out-produces Stat.

Last time KG scored 20+ was 2006-07. Course, I could ask when was the last time Dirk grabbed 10+ rebounds...or made an All NBA Defensive team.
Meh...anyways, KG is playing more centre than anything these days, so you could count him out based on that.

In no particular order, I'd have Nowitzki ahead of him, if his knee is okay. Love, Aldridge, Gasol, Bosh (kinda a C, but only because of Miami's 'no position' thing). I get why people don't rate Griffin, but I might take him on his potential. If you're talking right now, then probably not.

Randolph is on about the same level (more offensive, less defence). Lee as well, I think. and Millsap, although I gotta admit I don't see a ton of his games.

Bargnani, Stoudemire are clearly below Smith, in my opinion.

So a lot depends on who make up the PF ranks. For what it's worth, I'll discount Duncan and KG, but include Bosh (if I counted out Bosh, I'd have to count in LeBron...lol)

Say...6 in front of him.
About 3 on his level. So 7-10.

Put him on the right team, and he can be higher than that. Not sure you guys have ever really designed your schemes around him, he's been more a fit-the-gap style player, but this might be the year?
