Who should start for the hawks

The hawks have multiple players and could use different lineups. It looks like Larry drew us going with this starting 5
Teague
Harris
Stevenson
Smith
Horford
That starting lineup is alright but I feel that Harris don't need to start. He is going to take away from Teague development. I would like to see either morrow start or zaza start. If u put morrow and Stevenson in the starting lineup more touches will go to josh, horford and Teague. And u will have 2 good shooters so u can space the floor good. When we go against teams with good centers I think zaza should start. Move al to the 4 and josh to the 3.

Kinda depends if we want to win or if we just want to develop young players and tank for draft position.
I favor:
Horford
Smoove
Damion James
Morrow
Devin Harris
Al, Josh and Harris are all experienced, proven players. Morrow is alights out jump shooter and James is a capable defender.
These guys, I think, give us the bet chance to win.

the best players should start. Horford, Josh, and Harris are the best players on the team. so those three should start. Lou Williams is the on par with those three but I feel he would help best on the second unit. Teague is the odd man out in my eyes. Like Teague he is just not on Devin's level. Sorry Teague fans.

Yeah u right. Right now Teague is not on devin Harris level. But he has the ability to pass devin Harris this year. Devin is in a contract year. He had a bad year last year. I think he is going to try his best to prove that he is still a starting pg. we could get away with playing him at the 2 because there are not that many tall shooting guard and devin Harris is still a great defender. I still feel devin Harris has no future with the hawks. And we need to see if Jeff worth something because in the off season we gone either commit to him long-turn or get rid of him.

The would be my starting lineup:
SF: Korver
PF: Smith
C: Horford
PG: Harris
SG: Williams
I don't think Stevenson should start. He provides good D but he is pretty useless on offense and I don't want him to play a lot of minutes if he's not going help contribute on the scoreboard. I've started Lou because we need to replace Joe Johnson's scoring and Lou is that sort of player. Harris over Teague because I think he would work better with Horford and Smith, but I expect them to rotate starting.
2nd Unit
SF: Stevenson
PF: Johnson
C: Pachulia
PG: Teague
SG: Morrow
Junk Time
SF: Tolliver
PF: Scott
C: Petro
SG: Jenkins
SG: James

What are people basing Teague not being on Harris's level? On how Harris played 4 years ago on a horrible team?
They had literally the same season last year with Teague playing better D. In his first year as a starter. With Harris having a bigger role in the offense.
I know people like Harris but his "good" years after he left Dallas had him shooting near 40% from the field and in the high 20's for 3. Not good numbers. At all.

I base it on accomplishments. Harris has been an all-star, a 20 ppg scorer. Played in the NBA Finals. We forget that last year he didn't really get a real training camp or preseason. The year prior he switched teams midway, which is hard to do as a pg and lead scorer. The last time he had a full season on a roster with training camp and traditional pre-season, he avg 17 ppg & 7assists. The season prior, with a full season and full training camp, he avg 21 ppg and 7 assists.
He's a good defender, better finisher at the rim, more experienced and faster in the open court.
Teague once avg 12 ppg & 5 assists.
Until Jeff shows he consistently can run a team, I'm going with the veteran.

Well they are keeping in mind that Teague had to play 6 minutes
more per game to just equal him. Bit dubious on claiming Harris had a larger role on offense unless just being more efficient with the same role counts but Teague does have the "P" word and defense on his side.

The more I think about it, Devin Harris might be the best pg we've had since Mookie Blaylock. Makes me wonder how he and JJ might have meshed...

It all depends on James. If he can defend at a decent level, then I think Teague, Morrow, James, Smith, & Horford is our best starting lineup. Harris, Lou, & Korver are better off the bench for microwave offense..

Now that James is gone although I don't understand it, for me it should be
Teague
Jenkins
Smith
Tolliver
Horford
2nd unit
Harris
Williams
Korver or Morrow
Ivan
Zaza
Although in some games we could also use
Teague
Harris
Korver
Smith
Horford

How likely is Harris to play nice and accept a backup role?

GREAT question. I'd think with this being a contract year, he'll be on his best behavior. Just waiting for the chance to dethrone Teague. Behaving like a primadonna would only hurt his stock in free agency.
Does Devin have a history of misbehaving?

I'm not a fan of this at all. I think the job should be Teague's to lose. Teague has more potential and we need to see how far he progresses this year to determine if we want to resign him. I also think that Harris would be a better fit to play along side Lou Will than Teague. Harris is a better off-ball player than Teague and he is bigger so Harris could guard the SG and Lou Will could guard the PG.

I am not surprised if this is indeed the starting line-up on opening night. These are the best players on this team at those positions. what I mean is Horford is the best center on this team, Smoove may not be the best PF (Horford is) but he is the best player on the team so he has to be in the starting lineup, Harris is the best PG on the team, now Williams is the best SG but I feel he would be best suited coming off the bench so the next best SG is Krover ( which is a shame) and Tolliver is the best person to man the SF.
but all in all not a bad starting five, not great, but ok I believe we could beat anyone in the East but Miami. If Horford and Josh stay healthy.
I still wish we had a real center though.

I wonder if they are still letting Teague fully recover from his injury and don't want him to rush into it.
I'm not sure where locus7 got that starting lineup, because I can't find it off of Vivlamore's twitter. He posted on the ajc Hawks blog that if Monday's lineup was any indication, the lineup would be: Teague/Harris/Korver/Smith/Horford
