OT: Why didn't Murry spike the ball on the last play?
OT: Why didn't Murry spike the ball when there was 15 seconds left in the championship game? That would give given the Dawgs two shots at the end zone, so why did Murry elect to let the clock keep running?

You're guess is as good as mine, 2 plays into the endzone would've been huge, I'm still hurting

I've done some thinking and realized that Murray went no huddle and ran a play because Bama's Defense was gassed after having to defend 3 straight plays that went for big yards, it was just a stroke of bad luck that his pass was tipped and caught and that the receiver slipped as he would've had the speed to get to the sideline.

I applauded the aggressiveness, but no need to rush it. I mean for what he was trying to do, he could've easily spiked the ball, came back the next play in less of a rush and hit the same out route. You got 15 seconds and 3 downs to get in the end zone. Bama was gassed, so you could have found a receiver with a couple shots to the end zone. Great game though. Murray just managed the clock wrong at the end.

From what I saw, Murray was looking at the sideline and motioning to spike it and the coaches waived off the spike and got them in to an immediate play.

The only way they don't have time for a second play there is if he gets sacked or if somehting crazy happens like a tipped pass that the reciever catches in bounds...and the crazy happened.
