Up to 15-7 for the season after yet another hard fought game vs the Wizards. Last Poll Devin Harris and Lou Williams each tied for the win with 2 votes each, I'll rescind my vote for Lou and as a result give the win for last poll to Harris.
Al Horford (6)
Josh Smith (4)
Kyle Korver (2)
Zaza Pachulia (1)
Devin Harris (1)
Notes:
Lou Williams went off tonight, he finished with 24 points off the bench and went 10-11 from the free throw line, he has brought the free throw shooting element to our team, something we didn't have last year as we had ranked among the league's worst in FT shooting, he also had a clutch 3 near the end of regulation when we were down by 1.
Josh Smith did everything tonight, he had 17 on 6-12 shooting, he also finished with 13 rebounds, 3 steals, and 5 blocks. Numbers don't do a justice in explaining Josh's game tonight, he was always there to make the big play whether it was the putback slam when we were down by 1, the charge he took against Nene near the end of regulation, or the game winning block, Josh did it all.
Al Horford wasn't himself tonight shooting wise, he had 5 points on only 2-11 shooting, tonight was probably just one of those games for Al just like Saturday was just one of those games for Josh which is Ok, everyone's entitled to a bad game here or there. Al did however produce, he finished with 11 rebounds and he had 6 assists, he was also a symbol of cardio playing a game high 44 minutes, just like Josh Al did alot more than his numbers showed.
Kyle Korver on the other hand had a great shooting night: he went 5-6 from the field and 3-4 from long distance totaling 16 points, I like players who do their job, Korver's job is to knock down shots and he did that tonight, he also stepped up and hit the 2 game winning free throws in OT. Also a pleasant surprise from Korver tonight was his 7 rebounds.
Just missed the Cut:
Jeff Teague: He had 13 points on 5-12 shooting and totaled 6 assists, it was nice to see his shot total go down and his assists go up tonight.
DeShawn Stevenson: I will be damned if I didn't mention Stevenson, very admirable performance on what should've been his day off, Harris got hurt (hoping he isn't out too long) and he got called up on short notice and not only did he play some good D on Crawford in OT but he also got the clutch go ahead 3 which ended up being the decider in OT. Well done DeShawn you are indeed a true professional

Re: Player of the Game
Too many gave too much to have a player of the game for me.
Smith, Lou, Korver, Teague...they all had a damn good game.
I want to lean towards Smith because on both ends he was good (especially defensively, the shots he stopped with his presence like Beals layup in overtime was just as big as his blocks). But Lou's ability to get to the line and Korvers just deadly shooting...
Can I just give it to the team tonight?
