It seems Greg want to return this season, should we make a run at him?

The Heat have continued to talk about him and he seems to like talking about the Heat. We'd have to offer more than the Heat are willing to pay (considering the Luxury Tax). PLUS, he'd want a longer contract than just one season.
IF we could sign him to a reasonable deal...
IF we could get him NOW so we could put our medical people on him...
IF the Heat aren't determined to have him...
... then, sure.

We can offer a spot in the lineup for a playoff team, something I am not sure the heat can do. Especially after their Coach just publically said there is no place in their rotation for one of their bigs now (Dexter Pittman).
There aren't many spots in the league that offer a combination of playing time and a winning team that he would fit in with. They could even tease a Oden/Horford/Smith starting front line while being able to keep Zaza in super sub status.
No team is going to offer him a multi year deal and he HAS to know that. No team is going to offer big money either. He will have to sign at league minimum and get a chance to show what he can do to hope for bigger money later.
That said, I don't care if he came in and averaged 40-40-10, I wouldn't want to sign that guy to a long term deal. I just don't think he can physically play a NBA season ever. He just got too big, too soon.
