3 team trade proposal-trade machine

Post#1 » by namtipp » Fri Jan 25, 2013 6:47 pm

Bucks get Rondo BOS, John Jenkins ATL, expiring contract Kyle Korver ATL

Celtics get Josh Smith ATL, Brandon Jennings MIL, expiring Anthony Morrow ATL

Atlanta gets Monta Ellis MIL, Paul Pierce BOS

Boston gets younger and more athletic. Rondo may be a problem and Boston may not be big enough or athletic enough to beat Heat. May be able to throw in Dalembert

Atlanta gets two proven scorers at 2 and at 3 to go along with Horford and pg Devin Harris or Teague

I don't think I'd want Ellis on the team and I KNOW I'd never want Paul Pierce on this team.

Let's see: Celtics drop $28 million in salary for the offseason and would only be about $14 million under the cap, but they still couldn't afford to use Smith to attract Howard. Matter-of-fact, they'd be just throwing away 2 important players. So, this is not from a Celtics fan.

MIL fans have been talking about getting Korver AND Jenkins for awhile now. I'm guessing our guest is a Bucks fan.

Dear friend, why would we give up the chance at signing 2 max FAs (maybe our own Mr. Smith and Dwight Howard, perhaps?) and 3 of the sweetest shooters in the NBA for this monstrosity?

How is Ellis even much of an upgrade to Lou Williams?

Namtipp,

I am the biggest Josh Smith critic on this board, and welcome (almost) any trade that gets him out of here. But this trade doesn't really help Atlanta. It might be a short term fix, but even that is debatable as Pierce and Ellis don't sound like a very good match.

Our team ends up with no post scoring, no 3-pt shooters, no interior (or perimeter) defense and a couple of chuckers unable to carry a team in the post season.

Pass. (Maybe try including Utah so ATL ends up with AL Jefferson instead.)
