The Bucks want Smoove

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Sat Feb 16, 2013 4:29 pm

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... Josh-Smith

The Bucks are interested in trading for Josh Smith, the article says that they might offer Jennings and Ersan which is a lousy package as we have no need for Jennings. I'd be thrilled if we got Larry Sanders

They know we don't need another PG, so maybe it would mean that they thought about a swap of Jennings and Teague, even if it cost us more on other parts of the trade, unless they want to use Udrih and Ellis at PG.

I want to keep Teague, so no need of Jennings, but I like Ilyasova.
Don't know if Ferry want more cap space, but getting Ilyasova eats less than keeping Josh. Ilyasova would count for 7.9M against the cap, while Josh would count for a big cap hold until he's gone or re-signed.

It's not exactly what I would want, but a trade build on Josh+Zaza for Ilyasova+Dalembert+Dunleavy works, they make almost the same numbers and both Dalembert and Dunleavy are on ending contract.
It adds a 7.9M player who can play SF and PF, and two guys at C and SF that gives cap space or good veteran player to re-sign this summer, so it leaves some flexibility.

Now, I would prefer to get a young player like Sanders, but MIL will decrease the other part of the offer.

I would go for that trade.

2 starters and a bench player.

Ilyasova, Dalembert and Dunleavy look like no starters and 3 bench players to me.

Maybe I value Josh Smith too much, but this looks . . . sad . . . to me.

We'd have to get Sanders.

And Brandon Jennings is poison. The team that has him has no chance of succeeding in the playoffs, only a chance of appeasing his (worthless) ego.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Ilyasova has been a beast for the past couple months after starting slow, he can put up 16/9 on a ngihtly basis, while shooting .450% from 3 the last 2 seasons. Definitely a starting caliber player.

Dalembert is a good back-up 5. Smooth offensive game and is a big body on D.

Many of us on the Bucks board think Dunleavy should be a 6moty candidate. One of our better players, high bbiq and everytime he shoots I expect it to go in.

No way you're getting Sanders

Bucks will not include Sanders and when factoring in age/contract/club fit, I'd rather the Bucks keeps Ersan over Smith.

If Sanders isn't coming our way then there's no way in hell that we make a trade with Milwaukee, he's the only piece that we'd value from the Bucks other than maybe Dalembert (who's expiring) and Ersan to an extent. The reports are that the Bucks are offering Jennings and Ersan but Jennings is a selfish overrated scrub who's no better and more expensive than Teague

We can't get Sanders, but I like John Henson a lot. Either way, I'd only do a trade if at least one of those two is coming back to us.

Would a Dalembert/Moute/Henson for Smith/Jenkins package interest you?

If you put Morrow instead of Jenkins then I'm game, we Hawks fans value Jenkins very highly

First off if the Bucks want "Smoove" they better not give up Sanders, Henson or Harris. Anyone else is available. Why give up any youth for a guy that doesn't want to be in Milwaukee long term? Makes no sense for us. Hawks and Bucks are bad trade partners. In summation I hope the Bucks don't trade for this d-bag.

I see you're taking the news speculation well

I would take Henson, and flip Jennings to a 3rd team for his value. Add Illyasova if salary is a problem.

You think we are going to trade all 3 of those players for Smith? LOL. The only player in that I'd trade straight up for Smith is Jennings. Henson will be a much better offensive player then Smith and has the tools to be as good as him on D.

Are you serious Bro, as a huge Bucks fan myself, you are delusional to think Henson will even become half as good as Josh Smith.

The ideal trade in my eyes is Ersan/Henson/Dalembert for Smith and Korver

I never said I thought Henson was going to be better then Smith (this also isnt out the realm of possibility imo), I'm just not interested in trading our future starting PF for a half year rental of Josh Smith, and if it isnt a half year rental, it will be a max deal..for non other then josh f-ing smith.

Also, if we made that trade, me and everyone else on the bucks board would be extremely unhappy. I can guarantee you that. Awful trade for us, disgusting, in fact.
