Fantastic body, great length. Rumors of maturity problems.

A 2nd round pick is too iffy to put much hope in but, boy, would I love to strike gold. With his size, if he could perform like Zaza, he could be very interesting.

Beats Petro.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Not much to go off of but here's a small glimpse of his ability.

That '11-'12 highlight was interesting. Pretty nifty around the basket, and finishes quite well. Hoping Drew throws him into the fire.

The maturity thing stems from his stint overseas when he was 17 years old playing with grown men. I haven't heard a peep since he came to the league.

He was solid as the starting center for the Warriors to close out last year although he did have some atrocious shooting games. Like I said in the other thread, he has nice foot work, could learn alot defensively, but his post game is what I would love for Al or Josh to have. Patient down there and knows where he is trying to get and how to get their.

Like said, he is better than Petro.

Their also considering adding another guard to the team to backup teague consistently so my guess is if this kid shows up petro is bought out

The problem is, why didn't he get any minutes? Sure, they have Bogut, Ezeli and Biedrins ahead of him, but surely they could find a way to get playing time for such a terrific prospect. It's important to note that the Warriors fans say he has a low BBIQ.

I hate to get too excited but, if this guy's body is for real (muscle, length, leaping ability, vertical reach, foot speed), then he is either a future star or he's a headcase.

Well having Bogut, Ezeli, Lee, Landry, and Beans left little time for him in the frontcourt since he still is a project. Very understandable from a playoff team with all those options, already NBA ready.

I know I'm looking for something wrong but - the reason I am is - if there's nothing wrong with the kid, then he's a huge prospect. Not knowing enough about him and seeing how he was drafted late, I assume there's something wrong. The question is what that something is.

I'm trying not to get too excited about a 6'10.5", 260lb Center with a 7'5" wingspan, a 9'2.5" reach and a max vertical reach of 12" -- who happens to be a good leaper with good footspeed. There's GOT to be something the matter with him.

Look guys, if this works out and he becomes a beast then FANTASTIC, Ferry did his thing and got an amazing steal. If he becomes a marginal role player then that's good too, it means that we got a good glue guy for practically nothing. If he ends up being a bust then who cares, all we gave up is a top 55 protected 2nd round pick which is nothing. It's great that Ferry took a chance on him, something Sund always failed to do

I predict Tyler getting a good 3 minutes per game and like starting one game one time when Zaza gets sick or something

Other than Taking the Brandon Jennings route to the NBA, he doesn't really have nothing sketchy on his resumé. He had a minor attitude problem in Israel, but since entering the league, I haven't heard nothing about him. I just think GS doesn't have the minutes to develop him because he isn't big of a reward to grant time of Bogut and Lee. Sure, he could become a legit double-double with weakside shot blocking, but that's hoping he develops even with playing time, which might not happen. At the end of the day, I think we got a solid project and will hopefully become the next Lin..LOL

Well, it'll be good to see Drew develop the kid ... ah, who am I kidding? It'd take an executive order from Ferry for Drew to play Tyler. If we hadn't traded Bibby and Hinrich or if Morrow and Harris and Lou Williams not gotten hurt, Drew still wouldn't be giving Teague or Jenkins any minutes.

Well he was near double double with extended minutes as a starter last year but A: he will never get that many minutes here and B: if he ever gets 16 shots in a game, something very bad has happened to this team.
