1st qtr almost over; our passing is ragged, Smith especially.

Well, we're still playing rough but we're only losing by 1, even though PHO is hitting half of their 3s.
Smith's on his way to double figures in turnovers. Someone tell him that doesn't count in a triple-double.

I'm sure Josh will turn it around. He always does, right?
He is the 6'9" Jason Kidd, you know.

^ Now, now, don't be predictable. Besides, if the refs are determined to keep Horford out of the game, we'll need Smith.
We're on the 4th game of a long roadtrip; we're going to be lousy sometime. Remember when I said - last game - that Smith looked tired? He's due to suffer from lead-legs.

I have no doubt!
Hey, we are the 9th best team in the NBA, right!
Smith is our best player, and the 7th best PF in the league.
He'll bring us home. If it's one player we can always depend on, it's Josh Smith.

Suns are hot from 3. We're too tired to think right. Too many turnovers, too many stupid passes, too many chippy fouls.

Suns are a pretty good team. We'll get 'em next time, though!

This is funny . . . and sad all at the same time:

Phoenix — Phoenix – The Hawks got sloppy and it cost them.
Poor shot selection, turnovers and defensive breakdowns led to a XX-XX loss to the Suns Friday night at US Airways Arena.
Couldn't even wait for the end of the game.

Geez, Horford just imploded on the team today, he just looked frustrated and struggling the whole game, just alot of bad fouls by Al. Josh and Teague also had a bad game, but Horford seemed like the most irked
oh well, no big deal. everybody is allowed to have a bad game once in a while.

Josh Teague and Horford had equally bad games for different reasons. Josh shot making/selection, Als lack of aggressive decision making (he was kinda a ball stopper tonight, which is weird to see) and Teague turning the ball over and over gambling on D. Korver shot well, but Wesley Johnsons destruction of him defensively was the difference.
4th game of a 6 game road trip against a suns team that matches up well with us defensively(they have quick athletic bugs that could jump passing lanes but are weak post defenders...which we can't take advantage of) so its no biggy....we lost by 5...just need to get that rhythm back.

I figured that didn't even require a response parson...I honestly think(hope) tcorbin is being sarcastically over the top with the Smith love because there is no way that's the take away from this game.

i'm not talking about miss or makes, i'm just talking about mistakes, and Horford seemed, for what ever reason, to implode on the team.
the Hawks cut the lead down to 5 in the 3rd or 4th quater, and the Hawks had possession, and for what ever reason, Horford sets an illegal screen and darn near punches the offensive player, which resulted in a foul and turn over. then on the next play, one of the Morris brothers post up Horford, and Horford just wasn't thinking or was sleeping and Morris got inside position and Morris ends up getting the bucket and add one, with Horford fouling him, borderline bonehead play.
it was like two fouls in 15 seconds, and you could just see the anger in Horford's face and he wasn't playing basketball and just hitting people.
anyway, in those two possession, the Hawks could have cut the lead to 3 or 2, but it ended up being the worst case with the add one and Suns got it back up to 8 again.
everybody had bad games last night, but it seem like all of Horford's fouls came at the worst time and ended up bailing out the Suns.
anyway, everybody is allowed to have a bad game once in a while, but watching the game, i was just surprised that Horford seem to play a little hot headed, which is very unusual for him.

^-^ You have to take into account though that we wouldn't have been within 3 or 4 in the 4th without Horford's excellent play, Josh's shooting is what was handicapping us

Mistakes like 5 baaad 3 pt attempts, like 5 turnovers on really bad passes, like the decision from Smith to shoot jumpers in the 4th when Horford was hitting everything? In a tight game, Smith shot 1 time from under the basket. He shot 2 times from near the basket (4 ft). All the rest of his 11 shots were jumpers - all of which he missed.
Horford had a short leash put on him last night and still produced. Smith? There were 3 possessions where we had to wait for him to walk downcourt before we could get into our offense.

Bad shot selection, lazy passes, poor decision-making, lackadaisical play overall...that doesn't sound like the Josh Smith I know.
Especially not in front of a potential employer.
If Josh played poorly last night, it's clearly because of Billy Knight.
Josh can do no wrong.
6'9" Jason Kidd, remember?

We all know of your deep hatred and prejudice of Josh, no big surprise, nothing new that you are blind and think every comment has something to do with Josh Smith. i'm just talking about how unusual it was for Horford to play so hot headed last night, its just very out of character for him.
Charles Barkley was doing color commentary on the game for the Suns, and he said that Horford is a heated guy, a post player from the old school, and i was like "no he isn't" Horford is usually very level headed.
i don't know what happen, but i think their might have been something between Horford and Jermain O'Neal that we didn't see that got Horford bother for most of the game.

tcorbin, I like Smith, too (just ask those who want to get rid of him) but Horford, Korver and Harris manned up last night on a night when the team was dead tired.
^ Funny, I was typing my message while you were posting yours above.
