AL Horford on ESPN First Take

Post#1 » by Jamaaliver » Mon May 13, 2013 4:56 pm

The face of the franchise was on ESPN2 this morning reppin' our team well.

He sat just inches from Skip Bayless and didn't spontaneously combust...or just smack the cr@p out of him.

Dude is a good ambassador for the city. I wonder if this visit was the Team's idea or just his agent angling him for greater exposure. Either way, our 2x ALL STAR carries himself well. And we need all the positive exposure we can get.

Especially since out of the last 9 games we played, 7 of them were blowout losses.

anybody else see it?

Wish he'd taken Jenkins, Lou (or Mrs. Horford!) along with him?

No I didn't, but good to see him hanging in the studio as opposed to phone calls. He had been on SVP & Russilo before the Final Four.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Al appeared to be enjoying himself.

He kind of looked uncomfortable to me on camera but it's not like he has a ton of experience.

Agreed. Hopefully he can continue this sort of thing and get more experience.

He always seems to say the right thing; he makes a good spokesman.

The exposure would be good for him and our team for sure. As an All-Star, Al is underrated by many, so putting himself out there more would only be positive.
