Larry Drew has accepted the Milwaukee Bucks' offer to become their next head coach.
Drew was most recently head coach of the Atlanta Hawks.
The Hawks reached the playoffs in each of Drew's three seasons as head coach.
Drew will replace former interim head coach Jim Boylan who had succeeded Scott Skiles.
The Bucks enter an uncertain offseason in which Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis and J.J. Redick will be free agents.

I know his tenure here was a mixed bag of success.
But all in all, he was a solid coach and I wish him well.
He's one of the winningest coaches in our franchise's history and never had a losing season.
His 6 postseason wins in 2011 is as many as any Hawks Coach in the last 20 years.
How ironic will it be if Josh signs to play in MIL.

Congrats LD! He definitely deserves another head coaching job. Larry Drew will be a much better coach due to his experience with Atl. Like him or not, to coach under the circumstances he was forced to work under and still get your team into the playoffs speaks volumes about the man. Solid hire for Milwaukee in my opinion.

Solid coach. Good Xs and Os guy.
Not great. Not terrible.
He'll keep MIL competitive and get them to the playoffs regularly.
Didn't really get a fair shake in ATL.
I suspect he'll recover in MIL like Woody did in NY. Coaches at their stage in life tend to get better, not worse with time.

I liked Drew. Not a great coach or motivator, but he was always a professional and I'm happy for him that his career is progressing.
