Karasev the shooter and Jamaal Franklin the slasher, please.
They can be our Green and Leonard. And they are both ready to start contribute immediately.

Even though the draft is weak, their are several guys who could realistically become just as good if not better than Roy HIbbert...... Alex Len, Cody Zeller, Steven Adams, Mason Plumlee....... in addition Rudy Gobert, Lucas Nogueira, and Gorgui Dieng have an outside shot at having the same kind of impact that Hibbert or Sanders has in the NBA post.
If Bud really wants to recreate the Spurs in Atlanta, then he really has to draft Reggie Bullock because he is basically a Danny Green clone if not better.

Agree that Bullock is a Danny Green clone. But, we saw how limited Green is when he's not wide open.
He was pretty ineffective n Games 6 & 7. Bullock is bigger, stronger and better...but still limited.
I think might be sleeping on Hibbert.

There is an Official Draft Thread pinned up top. It's closing in on nearly 20 pages though so I'd think this is a good idea for those looking for a quick synopsis.
I think the general consensus is that, in the 1st, we're looking for a C and a wing preferably one who can play SF. If the value for one of the positions just isn't there, then we'll have to adjust. There is talk of taking a Euro to stash overseas which, if we jump through some hoops, could open some cap room for a FA run. Also, we are very active in the trade market specifically as a team that is looking to trade up, but with Ferry, it wouldn't surprise me if he's willing to trade down or out either.
The 2 C's that seem unlikely to fall to us would be Len and Adams - after that, there is no consensus amoung the ordering and who could be available. I'm hoping for Dieng but would accept just about any of the others except Plumlee.
For the wing, I've come to like Karasev in a "I think this guy really fits the Ferry profile" kind of way. There's a few others I really like though including Franklin. I would really like to land Caldwell-Pope as the hometown kid, but it looks very unlikely he'd be still on the board with the selections we currently hold. I would prefer to avoid Giannis Ade-what-the-f, and even if he fell to us, I'd pass on Muhammad as well.
I think the 2nd round will be pretty interesting as well. I think there's some value in shooters here that we could pick up on the cheap. Muscala, Southerland, Jarrett are all guys who can really stroke it with Muscala and Southerland especially being guys who might be able to contribute immediately (which also means that the probability that they're off the board is higher than Jarrett's). There's a handful of PGs I like who could go in the area (Kabongo, McCallum, possibly Wolters and Brown), but unless the board really proves that he's the obvious pick, then we might as well pass since Mack could probably do just as well for the role. There's also some high-upside guys that are currently getting a lot of love, but come draft day, I wouldn't be surprised if this is really just smoke to get others to draft them higher. Guys that come to mind here are Abrines, Goodwin, and Ledo. At this point in the draft, I would really see no reason not to take the shot on them if available.

100% co-signed.
If we come out of this draft with Muscala and Karasev, I'll be ecstatic...regardless of who else we pick up.
I suspect we might need to package our 2nd round picks to move up and take Muscala.
I'd be more than okay with packaging our 1st rounders to move up and draft Caldwell-Pope. (I have him rated as the best SG in the draft.)

I do as well. He looks ready for the NBA. And as I previously mentioned in the draft thread, I'd prefer the Hawks get an NBA-ready big considering how difficult it is to find size and length in the free agency.

Both picks and Teague for Trey Burke? An insurance policy if CP3 doesn't come?

Don't you think both picks AND Teague is an overpay ? I don't think Ferry is gonna make that trade. I do hope we pick Trey Burke or Kentavious though

Probably, but it would be a clincher if Ferry really wants to move up to top 5.
Financially, it could reduce the cap by 4 million because you would have to pay the 17th and 18th pick

We have a ton of cap room with no one to spend it on! Why make that deal when both picks or Teague and a pick would accomplish what you want? I personally think if we don't get CP3, we should stick with Teague. He's only going to get better and he's an above average PG as it is now. We just need more talent around him.
