Hawks in SERIOUS talks to get Paul Millsap

In other NBA news, I'm hearing that Paul Millsap is in serious talks with the Atlanta Hawks. Trying to confirm and get terms.

Hes only 6'8'', not really a center. 28 years old too.

I like his game, but not sure how he fits next to Horford.

You keep a knockin' but ya can't get in.

You struck out with Chad Ford and Ferry's denial and Korver's signing, now you think adding a talent like Paul Milsap is tanking?

Please, tell me how smart you are again. This is fun.

With Teague-Korver-Millsap-Horford you grab a PO spot in the East.

Easily

He's a 3/4; Horford's a 4/5. Why the confusion? Budenholzer can go big (if we ever get a Center) with Horford at 4 and Milsap at 3 and Korver at 2 or he can go small with Horford at 5, Millsap at 4, Korver at 3.

Millsap's a better talent than Jefferson. It would be great to have him. He would supply a lot of the same things Smith has for us, except he isn't a great shot blocker and he doesn't take dumb shots.

Jason Walker now reporting we've SIGNED Milsap.

6"8 250+ a little big for a 3 spot isn't he? Figured he was more PF than SF.

So we signed him is out lineup now

Teague
SG
Zaza (what center do we have )
Millsap
Horfprd

Suppose at the 2 we can have Lou

Agreed. Definitely like Millsap... tough, good rebounder, decent scorer, and he seems like a good fit in the Spurs system. But that definitely doesn't solve the "moving Horford to PF" goal. Interestingly enough, Paul's wiki page already has him listed as being a Hawk:

LOL. I hear Houston is tAnking this season, too. That's why they spent all that money on Howard...

Well... except for Korver

And I guess this more or less shuts the door on Josh Smith returning. Would definitely like to see us net Asik in a S&T now... think that rounds out our front court pretty well. Asik/Horford/Millsap... that group could really clean up the boards.

I am relieved. This is a solid, smart move. And confirms Josh is gone.

We get Asik and Zaza, we look like an actual team.

6'8" SF. Terrible three point shooter.

Never seen him play, though.

I'm not very happy that Horford will continue to be our starting five, but Paul provides us with talent, and we need it to stay competitive. Now, let's just see happens with Josh Smith, and if we get a return for him.

Jazz fan here,

You guys can have millsap, I wanted him gone bad. Jefferson is the better of the two.

Millsap was great when he was a hustle guy, but when he started to think he was the man, he was an undersized pf, and slow small forward. He pouted when Utah tried to have him come off the bench,

However, I hate that we just lost Carrol, He is a true feel good story, was in D league, got a chance due to injury, dove on every loose ball, come up with great deflections. Guarded the best wing on the opposite team, developing a good mid range game,

Your gonna love Carrol, every jazz fan felt like he deserved more minutes.

I hope Paul Millsap works out for you though
