Whos demarre Carroll? HE is a stud

He was the one guy all Jazz fans wanted to keep. HE got shafted often by too few of minutes.

He is pure hustle, good defense, and his jumpshot is improving almost considered fair.

I remember DeMarre from college (Mizzou). Other than denying my drunken request for a game of Pop-A-Shot, he was a fan favorite -- also, took us to an Elite 8.

Not going to be a scorer, but he's a high-motor guy who should defend well.

Celtic fan come in peaxe...Good pickup.. He is a solid role player.. With you guys getting milsap to team with Hortford.. Will do all the little things.. He will hustle and work his butt off.. Not the flashiest player but a solid player

LOL also a Celtic fan. I just thought you guys were hoping to move Horford back to PF? Now with Milsap it makes you guys just as small. Not really sure of that game plan with Atl? Any insight?

Best guess is getting Asik in a S&T for Smith. Being a Jazz fan though, that's just a guess. If so, that might work well for them. Horford, Millsap, and Asik might make a nice rotation.

looks like an official tank. i knew Howard would never go to Atlanta, so i thought the Hawks were going to go after some second tier guys, or lead dog like Bynum, Iggy, Jefferson, Monta to pair up with a good player like Horford and make a play for the east and the Pacers' spot, but it looks like the GM is just going after some role players or 4th tier guys like Kover, Demarre, Millsap. hard to see that team making the playoffs as an 8th seed or being competitive.

How is Bynum who is refusing to work out for teams a lead dog? He is still injured and is hoping a team throws big money at him.

Millsap is a very solid player. He has some range and has a very solid fg%.

I don't see Ferry tanking if he signs Korver to a 4 year deal and brings in Millsap. That doesn't scream tank to me. It sounds like he is adding solid players to make Atlanta competitive again for a 4-8 seed.

I think the hope was to pair Horford with a true center, but there just aren't that many true centers out on the market. You didn't want to take yourself out of the running for Howard by overpaying for Jefferson. If there is still the possibility of an Asik deal, I could see Ferry wanting to bring him in and Bud to run a 3 big rotation.

Man yall sit back and watch Danny Boy do his thing. We're building people. Give the man a chance to rebuild this thing. He knows what mistakes he may have made in the past, and I'm sure he's learned a lot from those mistakes. I still think the Hawks will sign a solid back up center to a 1 or 2 yr deal that will have a solid impact on the court and play heavy minutes. I've watched these former Utah guys (Paul, DeMarre) play, and they never take plays off, and stay within the system. The arrow's are pointing up for this team. It's a 3 to 5 year plan, watch it unfold.

Carroll was outstanding last year, he deserved more minutes than he got. He improved his jump shot and I haven't officially looked at his PER, but it was really high last year. Great deal if he plays anything like last year. Really sad we couldn't keep him.
