Oof. The article makes it sound like Kaman would take whatever LAL would offer over listening to us.

Bynum is a risk/reward play, but it's starting to look like there's enough competition for his services that his risk will be fairly high.

I really hope that Kamen will listen to us and give us some consideration. He'd be a great addition and would move Horford to PF. I hope that Ferry values him over Ellis

I hope Ferry does bring in Ellis as well as a center. I believe Kaman want to go to LA for any amount. so I like Samuel Dalembert, Marreese Speights and/or Byron Mullens

A center that can make a 3 big rotation before anything else.
We can't wait until Al is 35 years old to know if it's better to mainly play him at C or PF, so I'm ready to sacrifice this season if doesn't work, since at least we would get a pick in a nice draft, but I'm ready to gamble on this season only if we test it.

If it's testing Jennings or Ellis or any other guards or SF but not testing a C with Al at PF, it's just stupid IMO

With the room we add, better get one year of Bynum or Oden.

Bynum for the minimum.

Or Henry Sims, Jerome Jordan, or Marcus Cousin.

Should've have drafted Gorgui Dieng, problem solved.

i say...sign Monta and get Mullens....

this would give you plenty of scoring from all over the court.....

The 17M include renouncing to Teague, who is the only F.A. we haven't renounced for sure at this moment.

Millsap isn't a sf though. He might be able to play some sf but not start there and be a 30 mpg guy.

Mullens isn't a starting caliber nba center.

Hawks could have drafted Bebe and Dieng.

To me, it's more difficult me to find talented bigs than it is to find talented pg's


It's such a huge risk to pay Bynum. And he is not a long term anything IMO.

I'm sure some will pay him. Seems he should have to prove something. He got PAID last year and did nothing.

Greg Stiemsma.

Doc Rivers actually REALLY liked him. Hes 6'11'', undersized, but athletic. He was just waived by the wolves I think. Hes a CHEAP pickup that id rather have vs NOT having a center. Think replacement (much cheaper) to ZAZA

I don't get why people keep saying Dieng is only a short term solution. He is more of a sure ting than Bebe, and is ready to contribute today. His game is akin to Ben Wallace...with Actual offensive talent.

But at age 23, he easily has another 8 years of high level production.

And he is a champion. A proven commodity.

By the time Bebe has developed and strengthened enough to start, he will be Dieng's age.

I second the Stiesma suggestion. He'll likely go cheap, and I actually have him graded higher on a per-minute basis than guys like Vucevic, Kaman, and Asik.

Hell from a purely defense perspective I have him ranked 12th, above Noah and Marc Gasol. Granted, he didn't play many minutes and so if he played starter minutes that would go down, but I think he'd absolutely be worth a shot.

Terrible offensively though.

Bynum is scheduled to meet with us face to face this week.

I believe PEK is untouchable, we will not offer him 12 million per

Hey, I didn't say he could keep it up for 38 MPG, 82 games. Nor can he, due to foul trouble. But for a backup C getting 15 MPG I think he's great.

I would think his clearing throat was more about having him rated above Noah and Gasol...I would think.

azuresou1, I love your analytics. They help understand what's happening on the court, most of the time. But this is definitely an outlier, don't you think?

On the other hand, I just read that MIN released him. Why not? It's not like we're overloaded at the position.
