You mean the same way we used Devin Harris with Teague for periods of time. I agree, there is no reason we can't do the same with Teague and Schröder. Teague could explode, offensively, with certain matchups and Schröder would be able to ease into the NBA with Teague's help.

I'd prefer to see Dennis ease into the NBA at a single position. When he is on the floor it's as the PG with shooters flanking him allowing him lots of drive and kick opportunities.

Devin was a vet, so asking Him to share playmaking responsibilities was less of an issue.

Having skinny Teague and Schroeder...they could out quick opponents, but would get manhandled. Neither of them has the size or savvy to guard SGs.

I'd rather bring him along slowly off the bench for 15-20 minutes a game. We have to think big picture. Schroeder's development as a pure PG could lead to him being our floor general for the next 15 years. Let's not get too crazy at the beginning of his career. He would dominate second units while learning the league.

We don't have a backup PG otherwise, as Lou is still recovering and is not a ball distributor. Plus, DS, Jenkins and Scott seem to work well together. We'd have one of the highest scoring, most effective bench crews in the NBA with those three, Elton and Lou.

Think: What would the Spurs do?
No way they'd start two PGs under 25.

Maybe not starting, but i can see them spending time on the floor together. DS could then do most of the PG work and Teague could be the scorer. I like the idea of having Lou, Korver, and Jenkins working with him though. Give him a chance to get the ball to the shooters.

Teague is also a very good spot up shooter and would benefit from someone else setting him up, especially at the top of the key, he had the best percentage of everyone in the NBA from straight away 3s

What a difference a year makes. Last summer we were advocating starting the rook next to Teague. The following spring we're dreaming up trade scenarios to get rid of him...

Here's hoping the kid is through his adjustment period and ready to take the next step in the Fall...

Any hope the kid turns it around? Will another dominating run in Summer League at least alleviate any concerns for you guys?

Dominating summer league means absolutely nothing, just like his performance in last years summer league meant nothing. Summer league is not NBA basketball. Its bad college basketball because the guys aren't really that used to playing with each other.

A decent pre-season would make me feel better.
