According to some sources in twitter you have picked him from waivers.

Energy guy from the bench, not sure if Nogueira will sign but you have already...

Teague-Schröeder-Mack
Jenkins-Williams-Stevenson-Cunningham
Korver-Carroll-Scott
Millsap-Brand-Antic
Horford-Ayon-Nogueira-Muscala

I like it, he logged some mins in his NO days and can continue to contribute as a C for us. Good move by Ferry

I guess Ferry has staff who reads Hawks fan sites and when he sees them complaining about not having enough legit centers goes and gets a pretty below average one just to shut them up.

Scott's a 4 not a 3. Stevenson is gone. I have no clue what Muscala, Nogueira, Antic will do lol. Gonna be interesting.

We were in the market FOR a 3rd string Center. With AL and Elton manning the spot and Antic onboard, we should be set. Ayon can't be worse than Johan Petro or Jason Collins.

I am now satisfied with our size, rebounding and shotblocking after the past weeks' signings. If, God willing, we sign Oden we'd be overflowing with size. What we have now should be sufficient.

Good move. Gustavo never had chance to play in MIL. He can be good in Zaza role.

The move had to be made. With Zaza gone, who was gonna ugly up that frontline? Have fun looking at his mug all year.

In this offseason, Ferry has drafted Nogueira & Muscala and signed Brand. We've also been in the hunt for Dwight, Bynum, & Oden. I seriously doubt this move was simply to crowd the masses out.

At this moment, Musacala and Nogueira are not signed, so why count them in our roster. And Nogueira was clearly drafted to stay in Europe, Ferry certainly moved in the draft from 18 to 16 to be sure to pick a C that were supposed to stay in Europe.

:-?

'48 minutes' per has always seemed like a questionable, inaccurate stat.

 at posting a 48 per min stat. Im sure any scrub can have attractive looking stats per 48 mins.

Good summer for Ayon!
Gustavo Ayon finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds for Mexico. Ayon averaged 17.5 PPG, 9.2 RPG for the tournament.

You got that right!

I've never seen the guy play, but if he can put up that type of production in world competition, I expect him to get a legit shot at consistent PT this Fall. I have no illusions of him being a world-beater, but if he can give us solid rebounding at backup PF with modest scoring, we may have a real gem on our hands.
