Last preseason game: the kiddies take the stage.

Well, DAL played their starters and we played none of ours. The result was predictable, yet encouraging. We stayed close until the end, though I had the feeling that DAL could have finished us whenever they wanted. Scott and Schröder were especially impressive. I couldn't tell if Scott lined up as a SF or PF (I was working while watching the game) but I think he played SF. He did most of his damage offensively from the perimeter. Schröder looked mature beyond his years. What really surprised me was the stat sheet: I mostly remembered the missed shots (and there were some ugly shots) by those 2 but, when I read the actual numbers, it was much, much better than what I had seen.
Some quick impressions:
we are extremely weak - DAL had a laughably easy time pushing us around;
Brand doesn't appear to have much left;
Jenkins is troubled by his back - his shot was rough.
Cunningham is a fabulous athlete who could use an idea of how to play.
Cartier Martin and Shelvin Mack are desperately trying to not be cut, but playing as if they know it's a matter of time.
The refs kissed our rears until the end. I think they helped us stay close.
