For those who couldn't watch (I only saw the 2nd half), we fought it out with DEN the whole way - actually outplaying them - but wore out at the end.

Short of it: they shot 56% from 3 (14-25). If they have a normal night, we win. And they weren't scored through bad defense. Lawson BANKED a 3 in, for goodness sakes.

We wore out in the 4th. Schröder's absence hurt Teague in the 4th. He had just one assist (of his 11) in the 4th qtr. Millsap scored only 3 of his 29 points in the 4th - all FTs, no baskets. Horford only 2 of his 21. DEN, on the other hand, played just one player (Lawson-39) more than 26 minutes. It showed at the end.

We've got a good team though, y'all. We play smart on offense and we swarm on defense. And Horford is blocking shots better than he ever has.

It's refreshing to see, you can tell there's some coaching going on. Watching Dennis get better throughout the season is going to be a joy. There will be some growing pains but this Kid is special.

I gotta think that Thin Colorado Air and a lack of depth were at least contributing factors to last night's collapse to a last place team.

That High IQ Ball team is faring pretty well right now.

Meanwhile, Pistons fans have already begun to turn on their big free agent acquisition. Their current discussions sound identical to ours for the last 5 years...

ah another hearbreaking loss. Millsap was a beast all night but just couldn't hit that big free throw at the end of the game. As for the last possession when we were down by 2, I really wish that Horford would've passed to an open Korver for 3 instead of taking it himself. I understand though, this is his team and he made a decision that we win or lose on his shoulders, and rightfully so.

^ There was 1-2 seconds left when Millsap took his step back jumper; what time remained for Horford to pass it to anyone? He took a quick shot, Carroll (I think) got the rebound but the game was over.

There were about 7 seconds left during the inbound, there was a direct pass to Millsap who took his jumper. Horford got the rebound with about 2.5 seconds. There was enough time for a pass and a catch and shoot with Korver who has a pretty quick release. But, like I said, I have nothing against Horford taking the shot, this is his team.

↑ Sounds as if you have it recorded, so you're probably right. I just got one second from ESPN's play-by-play account. It agreed with my memories of that last play, so I figured it was accurate.
