Knicks v Hawks: The Rematch

The Atlanta Hawks have dropped their last five games against the Knicks and are one of only two teams in the past two-plus weeks to lose to the Knicks, who will try to avoid a fifth consecutive home loss Saturday night.

Anthony had 25 points in a 95-91 win Wednesday and is averaging 36.4 in his last five matchups with the Hawks. Andrea Bargnani added 20 points in that victory as part of a four-game stretch during which he's averaging 21.3.

I'm worried about Korver's streak in this one. Shumpert and friends locked him up pretty tight for three quarters on Wednesday.

Here's hoping for some healthy revenge.

Thoughts?
Predictions?

Oh noes! The fix is on.

Shumpert and Smith combine for 50. Horford and Millsap both foul out.

LOL

Dolan is a doofus of the nth degree. He consistently makes the worse possible basketball decisions in favor of winning headlines. (The NY Way!)

Outside of injury, I don't see any possible way we lose.

Woody's defenses have always focused taking away a single offensive threat. He's not used to teams that feature a myriad of offensive options.

Woe is us! We is doomed!

Respect? What respect? Dolan loves his team and his coach? Apparently so.
Did he check out to see who his team was playing and where the game was?
Probably not. He knows that this game is on national TV. If the Knickerbockers
lose this one, he's going to look bad, isn't he.

Let's make him look bad!

GO HAWKS!! :D

Knicks can't miss from 3, we can't hit one from out there. That's the story of the game.

Just have to stay close. They can't keep this up.

We may have the worst perimeter defense in the NBA. I don't think all the Knicks' success from 3 is luck but bad defense.

Still, we're only down by 10 even though they're 8-19 from 3 while we're 1-11.

Great comeback, all on penetration, either by Teague or Horford/Millsap.

BUT, Schröder's having a lame night. He's really careless. We need him to wake up, since Teague needs to sit a little.

This is just like the DEN game: poor play by our bench is leaving our starters with no steam. NY's walking away from us.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE game by our bench, except for Scott.

Raps fan here.. what's the latest on Lou Williams? Just picked him up in fantasy.. any clue when he might play? Your coaches just say he needs a few practices and he's good to go.

Yeah, that prediction will go down on my top ten dumbest ever...and that's saying something.

Serves me right for overconfidence.

Well played by NYK. Woody actually made adjustments between the 3rd & 4th quarter which paid off pretty well.

In the first half, we just got plain outplayed.

You guys seem to own us. Woody is 6-0 against us(?) since becoming Head Coach.
See you for the rematch on Saturday.

We need a wing player capable of creating his own shot or shots for others. Whenever a player other than a PG attempted to initiate the offense...it was brutal. Especially in crunch time.

We also need better production in the frontcourt, specifically off the bench.....

You'd think we'd start covering the 3 point shooter instead of daring him to shoot, especially when those are good 3 pt shooters like Melo and JR Smith. You'd think

Seems to me that the perimeter's open because we're collapsing down to help Horford and Millsap. We're not talented enough to play teams straight up so we have to pick our poison.

Another thing that stood out to me was the stellar play by Prigioni and Hardaway, Jr. Those are pretty solid pieces in the future and here-and-now.

Hopefully, Bud lifts Elton Brand's playing limitations for the rematch. Playing that team for a second time in a week, one of those players who sat out the first game could prove to be crucial this go round. (Brand, Amare.)

Also: I'm incredibly proud of Hawk fans. In the 4th quarter of a tighht game, instead of chantnig MVP for Carmelo at the FT line (as has often been the case the last few years), our fans (the few still there) actually booed the opposing player.

When we're surprised that our home fans are booing the opposing player instead of chanting MVP for him, that shows just how historically bad our fans are
