No idea why we didn't call a timeout and drew something up. Instead Millsap misses a free throw (the first one) and we're at the mercy of them hitting free throws.

Rats. Ran in just in time to hear Rathburn say, "And the Pacers have their first win..."

ESPN boxscore makes it appear that the game was over early and both teams played their benches. Were the Pacers too big for Millsap or did they double him?

Guess they just forced him to tough shots...shouldnt all be why they looked lost in the 3rd. Teague sat out the rest of the way.

Yeah, that was a questionable call, but I can see it. Kind of like the question of whether to run a play or spike it in football. Fact is that if Millsap forces a 3 there and gets the foul, then we're in some serious business...

We were ahead at the 1/2 then IND had a 19-8 run in the 3rd. We went with the backups to start the 4th, but Coach Bud left them in to close out the game even though we a point were we were down 3 with the ball.

Bud must have been looking towards the travel and game tomorrow in NOLA but then liked the bench's energy in bringing the game back so felt he'd let them finish it out.

On another note: I loved Schroder's performance in that 4th quarter. He was leading the charge in that comeback: making his shots, and delivering nice crisp passes (like that one beautiful bounce pass to Mike Scott in the open floor, that vision was on display). Of course there was some bad in the form of that bad pass he made which was easily intercepted by Paul George and taken for a windmill dunk (loved how Nique said: "I don't appreciate him stealing my dunk" after that btw), but overall the good outweighed the bad.

I like that Coach Bud kept the bench in the game, they made the comeback and they deserved to finish it out, the starters didn't really do much. The only thing I wish he would've done differently is call the timeout after CJ Watson gifted us a chance to tie it after a missed FT, and that he would've drawn something up and put in Korver, who's coincidentally the league's best 3 point shooter. The guys didn't know what to do after no timeout was called, and the result was that Mike Scott dribbled it up court and gave it to Millsap who was fouled in one sloppy sequence.

I disagree with the way the game was coached. Looked like he was looking forward to tomorrows game and considering it more winnable. Teague was a big part of the reason we had the half lead and the assistant spoke on that at half. He had 9 pts and 7 assists in limited time with solid defense and low turnovers. There was no reason to play Shelvin over him when Shelvin clearly did not have it and neither did Lou. Millsap has been forcing things every since Horford went down and no-one seems to want to speak on it. Really didn't like some of the subs or the approach to coaching last night.
