Millsap's out. Antic's Out. Ayon's out.
Jared Cunningham's been waived. (RIP-JC)
Shelvin Mack gets the start over Mike Scott. Presumably to have another big man available off the bench.
Mike has 17pts at the half. Mack and Brand are a combined 0-8 after 2 quarters for a combined 1 point.

That injury bug just loves feasting on Atlanta teams.

Thank you Carmelo for pissing this team off. Everyone is playing with a chip on their shoulder since Melo hit that three when he decided to shimmy around the court and start trash talking Carroll.

Man. Mike Scott is a keeper. A young star in the making. I really believe we're looking at the future starter at PF for this team. Kid has game.

Jeff Teague did what I have been screaming for him to do for weeks now...SCREW the floater.
The floater is a tough shot, you don't get fouled on them and they will lead to horrid games. Tonight, there were no floaters...he went to the RIM and tried to finish at the RIM. Hopefully he gets the message.
And lets be honest...I think Teague legit doesn't like Brandon Jennings and Carmelo Anthony. He has gotten in to it with both of them at points and plays like a man possessed every time he sees them on the court. That little disrespectful crap from Melo in the 3rd just added fuel to the fire.

Just got in. Wish I'd seen the game because that is hard to believe.

I mean, if we don't get a Center and Horford has to stay there, then I think its kinda obvious. We ain't paying Millsap what he will command after next year.

Did Scott grow a couple of inches or did his arms suddenly shoot out? Is he no longer playing most of his game below the rim?
If y'all told me Scott will become the next Kyle Korver, I could understand.

^Is the next Paul Millsap sufficient?

I didn't see the game, so maybe I should shut up, but Millsap has superior reach and leaping ability. Millsap blocks shots and plays above the rim. Scott sometimes cannot jump high enough to dunk an open shot. Scott has 5 blocks - all season (Millsap has 59 - almost 12 times more).

Watching the game now - found it on a Knicks feed on delay. Scott is having a great offensive game. All his shots are falling, although he had a little trouble with a lob from Lou Williams. He almost didn't jump high enough for the dunk.
We were leading by around 10 until Schröder came in and we went to him, Mack, Lou Williams, Scott and Brand, which may be the shortest lineup I've ever seen an NBA team field. Knowing the boxscore already, I know the Knicks are going on a huge run against this lineup.
Dennis cannot defend Prigioni, who is getting past him whenever he wants. I think Schröder's problems can be fixed, however, as they all involve him being run around a pick.
Both NY announcers keep calling Korver "Carver." Is that a NY thing or do they really not know? They're funny: earlier, the color man asked, "Isn't Schröder from France?"

The announcers just said the Knicks went on a 25-2 run against us. How in the world can any team LOSE a game when they go on a 25-2 run?

Good win and I agree that Teague needs to kill that floater mess

For those that missed it, they interviewed Scott as he was the PotG and it was a really good interview. He seems like a genuinely good kid who loves the game and his teammates. I can see why Millsap appears to smile whenever Scott is around. The other note is that Scott gushed over DMC. It seems that every time I hear one of our players talk about DeMarre, he drops the typical clichés and praises DeMarre's game and attitude.
Really glad we have all these guys.
EDIT: Completely forgot the most interesting comment (was the entire reason I posted this too). Scott also mentioned "I like the old Jeff better" in reference to Teague showing some of the enthusiasm last night we hadn't seen from him in months. Very interesting comment...
