Let's take them down tonight and then sweep em in the playoffs.

Great game by us. Love we are back in the playoffs. Now I am rooting for Indiana to win out.

This is what I am talking about!! This is just what we needed going into the playoffs, we just stomped the pacers in Indiana and we just clinched by beating the big 3 at full strength. We'll have a chance in the playoffs against either one of those teams, especially if we're going in with this kind of momentum

do the starters rest these next couple of games, or try to keep them in rhythm against Charlotte and Milwaukee?

I say keep the rhythm against Charlotte and rest vs. Milwaukee, the Bucks are so atrocious that we don't need our starters to beat them. Although when I say play the starters against the Bobcats I don't mean play Millsap: we should rest him for both of these last two games.

We are now 11-2 in our last 13 when Teague/Korver/Carroll/Milsap/Pero play and 5-1 against playoff teams. This team is really gelling and its nice to see Teague being aggressive again. His stats over the 7 games in April are out of this world. I like our chances against any one if Teague is aggressive and the 3 is falling.

We are the most unexpected champions of alltime this year.

Pacers up 8 with 8 minutes left. Hopefully they hold on.

The Pacers pull out the W. A win on Wednesday against the Magic and they take the 1st seed.

Thank goodness. I don't care that they just beat OKC, that team has not figured anything out, they looked really bad in their win today: had around 13 more turnovers than the Thunder, and Hibbert went an awful 0-9 with just 6 rebounds. Westbrook shot 7-23, and he and Durant combined shot 5-21 from 3 point land. We have more than a puncher's chance against these guys.

Guys - honestly, I wouldn't think that we have a realistic chance of taking that 1st playoff series. I'd think our BCS would be to take IND (or MIA) to 6-7 games and force them to show up for the 1st series while someone like Millsap, Teague, and/or Carroll makes a name for himself with his play.

Not to say I won't be cheering my @$$ off in hopes that we come from nowhere and take 4, but MIA and IND have been on cruise control for a while now and just need to fire to retake control of their helm.

Why do you think we have no chance? We have played Indy twice this year with our current starting 5 and we beat them by double digits both times. Pero has dominated Hibbert in both matchups and Hill cant keep Teague out of the lane.

Whats so impossible about us beating Indy? The key will be the 3 ball. I think we win if we shoot well from 3.

Agreed I think that Indiana is a false contender that any playoff team can beat in 7. Won't be a sweep and they are favored, but they are a very beatable team in terms of teams with title hopes.

We really need to start believing in ourselves. This team has earned the right for us to back them. We got a chance to do something really special.

I'm glad someone else said it. Pacers may be struggling over the last few weeks, but they have been a serious contender for the past year and a half. (They were one game away from the NBA Finals last year.)

This season they're a top 4 team, won their second straight division title and (likely) will win the Conference #1 seed. I know they've struggled the last few weeks, but they are an elite, experienced, defensive-minded squad.

Teams like that do very well in the playoffs.

We have a herculean task in front of us. I hope BUD is already scheming ways to make us more competitive than last postseason.

They are an elite interior defensive team but they are far from elite on the wings defensively. They can be slow at closing out on 3 pts shooters and we are the perfect team to exploit that. Pero will be able to get his on the wing and it's just a matter of if hits shots fall. Teague will outplay Hill as long as he stays aggressive and attacks the paint.

Your giving the pacers all this credit but totally overlooking the Hawks record, as of late, when we are healthy. Lets try being positive for once fellas. You might be surprised where a positive mindset will take ya.

Time will tell. But I don't see it. Teague and Hill played each other pretty evenly last postseason, Korver was useless and got benched midway through last that series,

If Pero lives at the 3-point line, West will guard him so Hibbert can stay in the paint.

Our roster is really flawed right now. The Pacers coach is more than qualified to exploit those weaknesses...

Hill and Hibbert have lost all confidence on the offensive end and have been dreadful for the past 6 weeks while Teague is playing the best ball of his career over the past 7 games.

We didn't have Carroll last year. We tried matching up Korver on Paul George last year which was obviously a terrible decision. This year Carroll will be on George and our team defense is much improved from last year.

So if West guards Pero, does that mean that Hibbert guards Milsap? That's even a bigger mismatch in our favor. Hibbert's only option is to guard Pero.

Coach Bud >>>>>>>>>> Coach Vogel.

and the Pacers have been struggling for more than just a few weeks. Its been more like 6-7 weeks and they are 3-11 against playoff teams during that time.

I just don't understand how so many Hawks fans will go out of their way to paint a better than reality picture of the opposing team and then will do the opposite for their own team.

I didn't think they would match the 2007-08 win total, I thought they'd back in with 35 wins or something.

Oh well keep on truckin.
