Kevin Love Trade Scenarios

As much as I would LOVE to see Kevin Love in a hawks jersey, I just don't see many scenarios working out in the hawks favor to accomplish this. So with that being said, does that put the hawks out of the Kevin Love sweepstakes? Does anyone else see any realistic Love trade scenarios happening? (Hawks and non-Hawks scenarios)Thoughts?

I think before any real speculation can really get cranking on what happens with Love, we need something firm on what MIN new direction would be: are they planning on tearing down and rebuilding? Can they reconfigure around Pekovic? Another item on the table: I just saw a report stuck in a mock draft on ESPN saying that Flip Saunders isn't enamored with Rubio and would prefer to flip him as well - get rid of Kahn's mistakes in one fell swoop.
I can't think we'd have anything to sink our teeth into until Draft Day - if even then.
Still, it's fun to discuss. Here's a trade idea for a straw man: I've been playing with an idea for a while in which we send Teague and Millsap out for Love. Typically, the scenario has been they've decided to reconfigure around Rubio and Pek, so I've had Millsap going to MIN while Teague would be routed through a 3rd team to get MIN some extra value - specifically a wing and some cap relief (Brewer and Budinger are horrid contracts; LMAM and Barea are really bad too but at least they're expirings; I think they are experiencing buyer's remorse on Kevin Martin and Shved as well - not saying they can get out of all those contracts but 1 or 2 would be nice). With the new information about Rubio, this opens up another possibility - either a) we send both Teague and Millsap directly to MIN for Love and they rout Rubio to a 3rd team for cap relief or b) Millsap + Rubio goes to a 3rd team while Teague + (a bunch of value) ends up in MIN. OTOH, it could also mean that they're just willing to blow the whole thing up too. Still something to think on at least...

I envision the klove sweepstakes or "summer of love" ending in a similar fashion to the dwight howard summer. By that I mean a three or four team blockbuster trade. The only way I see the hawks getting involved is if we trade big Al which I do think is a possibility. I think we really value this year's lottery.
Perhaps klove to LA or Boston their pick to ATL. Horford + 15th and LA/Boston filers or other picks to Minnesota

1. Kudos on the 'Summer of Love' designation. Well played.
2. While it is absolutely possible this could play out that way, I'd be against trading AL
AND #15 overall for a pick outside the top 4.
Horford + Rodney Hood > Just Noah Vonleh (or Just Marcus Smart)

If Danny Ferry and the hawks make a serious run for Love then here's the package I think they should present:
Minnesota receives: Milsap, Schroeder, the rights to Lucas Nogueira, and the hawks (15th) draft pick. Here is my reasoning...from the wolves point of view, Milsap is a nice pick up that brings the "win now" factor. And if he isn't happy there then they could still flip him. Schroeder would be the key back up point guard they need behind Rubio, and Nogeuira gives the Wolves a tandem with Gorgui Deing that makes Pekovics contract expandable, and finally; the 15th pick co-sides with Minnesotas 13th pick in a deep draft this year.
Hawks receive: K-Love

I don't know if I'd do anything more than Millsap + Schroeder for Love. Do you guys actually watch Love play? His stats are majorly inflated.

I mean I still think that the hawks can pick up other players during the off season/free agency that will turn them into contenders. With that being said, if the hawks decide to put all of their marbles so to speak on the focus of getting kevin love then the Milsap + Schroeder deal is going to come off as a joke to Minnesota. There are going to be SO many more offers made to the TWolves that are better than that one.

That's not our problem. Our goal is not to ensure that Minnesota gets the best package it can for Kevin Love. Our goal is to improve our team.

this is just a fun yet somewhat believable trade scenario:
four team trade b/t sacramento, atlanta, boston & minnesota
minnesota gets al horford, jeff green + boston's 17th & atlanta's 15th pick
atlanta gets boston's 6th pick and sacramento's 8th pick but with the price tag of joel anthony & alexey shved
boston gets kevin love & travis outlaw
sacramento gets dennis schroder & avery bradley + future considerations
This trade would give us two decent shots at finding our next all-star thru the draft and sets us up to be serious players in 2015

Why would we send out so much talent for the 6 and 8?

cap space?
I was just having fun with it....however, I do think a franchise guy could be around picks 5-10 ie: aaron gordon or julius rande
