Both pkayers fit the mold and hustle of the team as well as pick and pop capability. Their play would be complimentary.

Possible rotations:

PG: Teague/Mack
SG: Korver/Williams
SF: Milsap/Parson/Scott
PF: Horford/DMC
C: Bosh/Pero/Ayon

I think they would both fit well in atlanta. I don't like the idea of Milsap at the 3 though. I would start parsons at the SF position and have Milsap come off the bench at the 4.

Miami needs to look past Chris Bosh.
If we can sign him, I support it, because talent is talent, and it's not like we have a ton of it knocking at our door.

I agree with this. Parsons is the superior SF and should be the starter at the 3 spot.

This brings up another issue, unfortunately. Korver, Teague and Parsons are all underwhelming perimeter defenders. The fact we'd have no rim protector in the front court leaves us particularly vulnerable.

I would be in favor for both Bosh and Parson. But think they would make Millsap and Korver expendable. Korver still has value coming off the bench as backup SF and SG.

But Millsap's value is as a starter. I'd package Millsap and #15 to acquire a defensive Center and/or SG who can play defense.

Bosh will command $20m+ and Parsons will command $12m+.
So it would be like

PG: Teague/Schröder
SG: Korver/filler
SF: Parsons/DMC
PF: Horford/Ayon
C: Bosh/Pero

At the minimum, Lou + Millsap would need to be moved saving salary space. We probably couldn't resign Mack or Scott.

I'm sorry, but there is no way Chris Bosh could pull in 20 million right now. Chandler Parsons would be a 9-10 million player tops.

But if you add Bosh, I would certainly move Millsap for depth. Mack and Scott aren't going to be back anyway.

You have to overpay Parsons or Houston is going to match.

As for Chris Bosh, he's 30 so he has 4-5 good years in him. Look at the numbers Pau Gasol put up at 33 years old. I'd venture to say that Bosh can match that on a different team. He's going to get good contract offers if he decides to leave. $15m/yr won't convince him to sign with the Hawks.

We're in no position to get Bosh; he's not coming to a non-contender. He's already experienced that and if it takes him to be the 3rd option, he's going where other players are the leaders.
Bosh isn't worth the cost.

I'd like to hear us discussing Hawes or Gortat, guys we can afford.

I've floated this before, but I guess I'll try again: what about Millsap for Parsons? I know HOU fans balk at the idea, but the greater consensus is that Millsap is the better player with Parsons being younger and (at the time) the better contract. Further, any ideas that HOU could fish in the '15 FA class are better served by having Millsap instead of Parsons since Millsap comes off the books while Parsons would be looking for a big payday coming off a 2nd round contract.

It's not a great deal from our end IMO (we're burning a significant amount of cap space that we'd use for the '15 FA class) but we'd get a young, skilled SF who fits our system and would be under contract through his prime.
