What? I heard earlier that Pau was visiting other teams and that we weren't considering him.

Honestly I'm not a fan of acquiring Pau - the only circumstance where I think it makes sense is if we have an S&T already lined up for a Millsap - which is unlikely since neither the Knicks or Heat would likely want to S&T away LeBron or Melo.

I'd still love for us to get Pau. He fits our system, is big enough to share Center duties. His strong post-game would make him our go to scorer down the stretch of tight games.

He immediately becomes our Duncan, their production actually pretty similar last season.

This would be a great move...if he plays next to Horford. Those two instantly become the dominant front line in the East.

LOVE this move...if it happens.

If he was at a marginal price like Duncan IE 10-11 million sign me up

Would love this . unfortunately I think it would make Millsap expendable

Doing some thinking... if we did a S&T Melo for Millsap + Salmons trade, we would have anywhere from $5 to $12 M in cap space. If so, that upper range would likely be around Pau's salary range.

Teague
Korver
Melo
Horford
Pau

Is that team realistically good enough to contend? It looks nice on paper on offense but there are some real defensive questions there.

There would definitely be some defensive issues, we'd need a backup BIG with defensive prowess and defensive wings added to the bench.

But that lineup would indeed cause fits.

(Ironically, Gorgui Dieng would be the perfect backup big for THAT squad. Young, athletic, shot blocking beast.)
